  • Publication number: 20180011769
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are provided for dynamic mirroring. A first storage node and the second storage node within a first storage cluster may locally mirror data between one another based upon a local failover partnership. The first storage node and a third storage node within a second storage cluster may remotely mirror data between one another based upon a primary disaster recovery partnership. If the third storage node fails, then the first storage node may remotely mirror data to a fourth storage node within the second storage cluster based upon an auxiliary disaster recovery partnership. In this way, data loss protection for the first storage node may be improved, such that the fourth storage node provide clients with access to mirrored data from the first storage node in the event the second storage node and/or the third storage node are unavailable when the first storage node fails.

  • Publication number: 20180013588
Abstract: Methods, computer program products, and systems are presented. The methods include, for instance: providing a distributed virtual gateway for Network Virtualization over Layer 3 (NVO3) network. A gateway stack having three or more nodes is implemented as a distributed virtual gateway, providing Layer 2 or Layer 3 gateway services in a fail-safe manner. Nodes of the gateway stack are configured to autonomously process and forward inbound NVO3 data packets with known destination addresses without engaging a master of the gateway stack.

  • Publication number: 20180005132
Abstract: Methods and apparatus of modeling work vehicle data and predicting machine failures based on the same are disclosed. An example method includes accessing a first alert sequence from a work vehicle, the first alert sequence is associated with one or more of observed diagnostic code, observed vehicle sensor data, or observed vehicle status data; comparing the first alert sequence to a model including an association between reference alert sequences, reference machine failures, and probable parts used to repair the respective reference machine failures; identifying a substantial similarity between the first alert sequence and a first reference alert sequence of the reference alert sequences; and based on the model and the first reference alert sequence, identifying first probable parts of the probable parts used to repair a first reference machine failure of the reference machine failures, where the first reference machine failure is associated with the first reference alert sequence.

  • Patent number: 9852139
Abstract: Various systems and methods for partitioning a directory while allowing concurrent access to the directory. For example, a method involves receiving a request to partition an original directory that comprises a plurality of entries and creating a partitioned directory in response to receiving the request. The method also involves distributing the entries from the original directory to the partitioned directory. Distributing the entries involves sequentially copying each entry from the original directory to the partitioned directory. The method also involves performing an operation on the original directory while the entries are being distributed. Performing the operation involves accessing and/or updating the original directory.

  • Publication number: 20170353528
Abstract: In representative embodiments, multiple cloud computing infrastructures, each having its own application and management fabric, coexist with in the same cloud computing infrastructure. This results in a cloud computing infrastructure where multiple management fabrics and application fabrics coexist to offer their own services and cross platform services. Each functions independently and also communicates with each other to offer high availability and disaster recovery. One application and management infrastructure is a host to the other application and management infrastructure. The hosted infrastructure accesses underlying fabrics through the host infrastructure. A resultant system comprises a common hardware fabric, a common runtime, and a service fabric comprising services from both the host and hosted infrastructures.

  • Publication number: 20170330154
Abstract: An automatic process is proposed in which a computer extracts data relating to an individual from a social media site, and automatically compares the extracted data with a job description to form a numerical suitability index. Since the data is extracted from a social media site, its coverage is not limited to individuals who are part of a database maintained by a recruitment consultant. The numerical suitability indices for a plurality of individuals are used to screen the individuals, to select individuals to participate in further stages of a recruitment process. Thus, an automatic screening of the individuals is possible, saving considerable time. In one example, if a large number of individuals have applied for a job, they can be screened automatically, to produce manageable short-list of candidates.

  • Publication number: 20170277435
Abstract: A storage tier manager creates different versions of a dataset backup for different retention periods. Each of the versions is distinctly identifiable despite initially representing a same dataset backup. One version can be referred to as a cached version of the dataset backup and another version can be referred to as a cloud version of the dataset backup. When the retention period expires for the cached version of the dataset backup, the storage tier manager migrates the cloud version of the dataset backup from the caching storage tier to the cloud storage tier. The storage tier manager can then recover storage space occupied by data that has been migrated, as long as that data is not shared with other cached versions of other dataset backups due to deduplication.

  • Publication number: 20170277596
Abstract: A storage tier manager creates different representations of a dataset backup for different retention periods. Each of the representations of the dataset backup is distinctly identifiable despite initially representing a same dataset backup. The representations are structured metadata corresponding to the dataset backup. One representation is a cached backup version of the dataset backup (“cached backup” or “cached representation”) provided for low latency access while residing at a storage tier of the backup appliance for a relatively short retention period according to a lifecycle management policy. The other representation is a cloud backup version of the dataset backup (“cloud backup” or “cloud representation”) provided for persisting into cloud storage for a longer retention period according to the lifecycle management policy.

  • Patent number: 9755953
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a system and method for applying unique routing rules to encrypted data packets being transmitted via a tunneling protocol. Because encrypted data packets are unintelligible at intermediary points along a secured link or “tunnel,” a multi-path router located between the tunnel endpoints is typically unable to apply unique routing rules. To enable unique routing, the disclosed method relies on a unique identifier that is associated with the secured link established between an initiator and a receiver (i.e., the tunnel endpoints). The unique identifier is transmitted with one or more encrypted data packets and is used at intermediary points to differentiate the encrypted data packets so that unique routing rules can be applied.

  • Patent number: 9720004
Abstract: Methods and reagents are disclosed for conducting assays. Embodiments of the present methods and reagents are concerned with chemiluminescent reagents for determining the presence and/or amount of an analyte in a sample suspected of containing the analyte. The reagent is non-particulate and comprises a binding partner for the analyte and a chemiluminescent composition comprising an olefinic compound and a metal chelate. In embodiments of an assay, a combination is provided that comprises a sample suspected of containing the analyte, a chemiluminescent reagent as described above and a sensitizer reagent capable of generating singlet oxygen. The combination is subjected to conditions for binding of the analyte to the binding partner for the analyte. The sensitizer is activated and the amount of luminescence generated by the chemiluminescent composition is detected wherein the amount of luminescence is related to the amount of the analyte in the sample.

  • Patent number: PP28388
Abstract: The present invention relates to the development of a novel, morphologically and genetically distinct khusinol rich essential oil producing clone of vetiver [Vetiveria zizaniodes (L.) Nash. syn. Chrysopogon zizanioides (L.) Roberty; family Poacaeae} named ‘CIMAP-Khusinolika’. The plant of this clone is characterized by spreading type clump canopy in the initial stage, white feathery stigma and capable of producing >1% (v/w) essential oil containing 45-50% Khusinol (v/v) obtained after hydro-distillation from fresh roots harvested from 6 month old plantations. This clone has unique ISSR profiles that serve as DNA-fingerprints. The clone was obtained through recurrent selection in polycrossed population generated from the bulk of wild collection, and can be propagated through vegetative slips (3 to 6 month old stem with few roots) for commercial plantation as a short duration crop.
