Publication number: 20190355811Abstract: A semiconductor device is described that includes a first semiconductor layer conformally disposed on at least a portion of a source region and a second semiconductor layer conformally disposed on at least a portion of a drain region between the source/drain regions and corresponding gate spacers. The semiconductor layer can prevent diffusion and/or segregation of dopants from the source and drain regions into the gate spacers of the gate stack. Maintaining the intended location of dopant atoms in the source region and drain region improves the electrical characteristics of the semiconductor device including the external resistance (“Rext”) of the semiconductor device.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 18, 2018Publication date: November 21, 2019Applicant: INTEL CORPORATIONInventors: Rishabh Mehandru, Anupama Bowonder, Biswajeet Guha, Tahir Ghani, Stephen M. Patent number: 10410425Abstract: The position of a virtual object in a scene, such as a scene of augmented reality (AR) content to be rendered, can be adjusted at least in part using pressure input. A user can apply varying amounts of pressure to a pressure sensor, for example, to control a distance between the virtual object and a virtual camera rendering a current view of the scene. An increase in pressure can increase the distance, or cause the object to move “away” from the user, while a decrease in pressure can decrease that distance, causing the virtual object to move “toward” the user. An acceleration function can be used to control the movement, to provide more accurate and user-friendly position control. Smoothing can be applied to the pressure data to reduce the presence of noise or jitter in the data. Other inputs can be used to control lateral movements or rotations.Type: GrantFiled: October 25, 2017Date of Patent: September 10, 2019Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventor: Pratik Patel

Publication number: 20180192137Abstract: A method and system for predicting a media asset that the user will consume during a specific timeslot are described herein. The prediction may be made by identifying for a timeslot those media assets that may be of interest to a user. A determination may be made which of those media assets are first run episodes of their respective series. For each series, episodes associated with the previous season of the respective series may be identified and compared with media assets that the user has consumed. Based on that comparison, an amount of first run episodes for the previous season of each respective series the user has consumed may be determined and based on those amounts, a predication may be made of which media asset the user will consume during the timeslot.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 27, 2017Publication date: July 5, 2018Inventors: Pratik Patel, Margret B.
