  • Patent number: 9852357
Abstract: A method for detecting a clear path of travel for a vehicle using a current image generated by a camera includes defining an exemplary vanishing point for each of a plurality of sample images. Features within each of the plurality of sample images are identified, the current image generated by the camera is monitored, and features within the current image are identified. The current image is matched to at least one of the sample images based upon the identified features within the current image and the identified features within the plurality of sample images. A vanishing point for the current image is determined based upon the matching and the exemplary vanishing point for each of the matched sample images. The vanishing point for the current image is utilized to define a clear path of travel, and the clear path of travel is utilized to navigate the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20170344303
Abstract: A translation system can translate a request having multiple fields to a physical address using the fields as indexes to a multi-dimensional graph. A field or portion of a field can represent a location along an axis. When combined together, the fields can represent a point in n-space, where n is the number of axes. In some embodiments, a nearest neighbor calculation can be sufficient along an axis. Therefore, a point in n-space defined by the fields can be translated along an axis until a nearest neighbor entry is determined. When the entry is determined, the entry can be accessed to determine a correct response to the translation request.

  • Patent number: 9827740
Abstract: The invention broadly relates to release layer compositions that enable thin wafer handling during microelectronics manufacturing. Preferred release layers are formed from compositions comprising a polyamic acid or polyimide dissolved or dispersed in a solvent system, followed by curing and/or solvent removal at about 250° C. to about 350° C. for less than about 10 minutes, yielding a thin film. This process forms the release compositions into polyimide release layers that can be used in temporary bonding processes, and laser debonded after the desired processing has been carried out.

  • Patent number: 9823872
Abstract: A translation system can translate a storage request having multiple fields to a physical address using the fields as keys to traverse a map. By using a map table, multiple storage services can be condensed into a single map traversal. The map can be made of nodes that include one or more node entries. The node entries can be stored in a hashed storage area or sorted storage area of a node. A node entry of root nodes or inner nodes can include a link to a next node. A node entry of a leaf node can include a physical address. Using the request fields as a key to a node, a node entry can be determined. A pointer in a root node entry or inner node entry can be followed to a next node. A physical address in a leaf node can be the translation of the storage request.

  • Patent number: 9802124
Abstract: A translation system can translate a storage request to a physical address using fields as keys to traverse a map of nodes with node entries. A node entry can include a link to a next node or a physical address. Using a portion of the key as noted in node metadata, a node entry can be determined. When snapshotting a dataset, a snapshot value can be updated in a root node entry. New data can be added under the new snaphsot value, preventing overwriting of the prior data, providing deduplication and quick snapshotting. When cloning a dataset, a new root node entry can be made for the clone. The new root entry can reference the original root entry of the original dataset. Metadata of nodes of the clone branch can identify whether the current branch contains updated data or whether the data exists off of the original root entry.

  • Patent number: 9791624
Abstract: Methods for stripping an optical fiber coating using blue or blue-violet radiation are disclosed. The method includes irradiating a portion of the coating with at least one radiation beam having a processing wavelength in the range of 400 nm to 460 nm for which the coating is substantially transparent. The intensity of the radiation beam exceeds the optical-damage threshold of the coating, and thereby a damaged coating portion that absorbs radiation at the processing wavelength is formed. The damaged coating portion is then irradiated with the radiation beam having an intensity below the optical-damage threshold to cause the damaged coating portion to absorb the radiation and to subsequently heat up and disintegrate to expose a section of the central glass portion of the optical fiber.

  • Patent number: 9748907
Abstract: An output impedance-matching network for an RF power amplifier die includes a harmonic-prevention circuit that functions like a short circuit at a fundamental frequency of the amplifier and an open circuit at a second harmonic frequency of the amplifier. In certain implementations, the harmonic-prevention circuit has one or more parallel, reactive (LC) legs that resonate at the fundamental frequency and a parallel, reactive (capacitive) leg that causes the harmonic-prevention circuit to resonate at the second harmonic frequency. The harmonic-prevention circuit improves power transfer and efficiency of the RF power amplifier.

  • Publication number: 20170199826
Abstract: A translation system can translate a storage request to a physical address using fields as keys to traverse a map of nodes with node entries. A node entry can include a link to a next node or a physical address. Using a portion of the key as noted in node metadata, a node entry can be determined. When adding node entries to a node, a node utilization can exceed a threshold value. A new node can be created such that node entries are split between the original and new node. Node metadata of the parent node, new node and original node can be revised to identify which parts of the key are used to identify a node entry. When removing node entries from a node, node utilization can cross a minimum threshold value. Node entries from the node can be merged with a sibling, or the map can be rebalanced.

  • Patent number: 9690055
Abstract: Systems and methods for bonding a bare fiber section within a longitudinal bore of a ferrule are disclosed. The methods include inserting the bare fiber section into the ferrule bore along with a photoactivated adhesive. A diverging beam of activating light is directed into an endface of the bare fiber section at the ferrule front end. The activating light passes through the bare fiber section to expose the surrounding photoactivated adhesive, thereby bonding the bare fiber section within the longitudinal bore. The ferrule and fiber can then be incorporated into an optical fiber connector.

  • Patent number: 9609348
Abstract: Video analytics systems and methods are described that typically comprise a video encoder operable to generate macroblock video analytics metadata (VAMD) from a video frame. Functional modules receive the VAMD and an encoded version of the video frame is configured to generate video analytics information related to the frame using the VAMD and the encoded video frame. The downstream decoder can use the VAMD to obtain a global motion vector related to the frame, detect and track motion of an object within the frame and monitor a line provided or found within the frame. Traversals of the line by a moving object can be detected and counted using information in the VAMD and the line may be part of a polygon that delineates an area to be monitored within the encoded frame. The VAMD can comprise macroblock level and video frame level information.
