Abstract: A method, a system, and a device for implementing media negotiation are provided. The method includes the following steps. A caller sets media levels, and sends a request carrying the media levels to a callee. After receiving a response carrying media selected by the callee according to the media levels returned from the callee, the caller performs corresponding processing according to the media selected by the callee. Through the method, the caller sets primary and optional media types and specifies the levels of each media type during the media negotiation process. Thus, the additional media information improves the efficiency of the media negotiation of a session.

Abstract: Embodiments for recommending gifts to users for their gift recipients over a network are described. For example, a gift recommendation system may collect a set of historical transaction data of a plurality of transactions, and organize the set of historical transaction data based on information related to buyer gender, buyer age, item category, and transaction date of each transaction, in which the list of predetermined amount of gift categories are ordered based on an entire item purchase amount of each gift category. The gift recommendation system may retrieve gender and age information of a gift recipient, for example, via a graphical user interface, and then may automatically present to the user a list of predetermined amount of gift categories selected from the organized set of historical transaction data based on the gender and age information of the gift recipient.

The method further includes generating a synchronization key, the synchronization key being included within the file to be synchronized. The method further includes transmitting a synchronization signal if a segment change is detected, the synchronization signal including a file index value, the file index value representing the segment change. Abstract: A method for delegated transmission/reception of a Session Initiation Protocol, SIP, message, where delegation related header fields or header field parameters are extended in the SIP message and a SIP processor processes the message according to the extended header fields or header field parameters to implement the delegation function at the SIP layer. Accordingly, an SIP processor is provided. Because delegation is implemented at the SIP layer, the delegation mechanism is independent of services and therefore can be applied to different services. This facilitates multiplexing and uniform management of the delegation function.

Recipients of messages can view different topics from an electronic mail message and can take actions on specific topics and related content. Abstract: A method of managing an Extensible Markup Language (XML) document is provided. The method includes a XML server receiving the request of XML document management operation sending from the XML Document Management (XDM) client. The request carries the document identifier and the state information. The XDM server changes the state of the document corresponding to the document identifier to the state that corresponding to the state information.

Abstract: The invention discloses a method, client and server for implementing the question and answer services. The method includes: by a first client, putting a question into presence information for publishing so that a second client obtains the presence information that contains the question; receiving an answer to the question sent by the second client through an instant message; and displaying the received answer together with the corresponding question. The invention fully utilizes the interpersonal network information in an instant messaging system, and implements the question and answer services based on the presence service and the instant messaging service in the instant messaging system. Therefore, users can ask questions and obtain answers conveniently based on the widely applied instant messaging system.

Abstract: A method and system for establishing a group session and a service server are disclosed. The method comprises: acquiring a group member list and establishing session conditions according to the information in a received group session; acquiring the various information described in the establishing session conditions; determining group members of which the various information meets the establishing session conditions; and sending a request for establishing a group session of which the various information meets the establishing session conditions, and establishing the group session. The method solves the problem that the service server cannot dynamically select the group members, according to the current statuses of the group members, to establish the session in the prior art, whose disadvantages are the session is inflexible and the communication resources are wasted.

According to the present invention, various presentities provide presence information to watcher clients by connecting presence servers through a presence service access device.

Abstract: A method for subscribing for presence information, wherein: a delegated watcher client or an application server sends a subscription message of a watcher client to a presence server; when determining that the subscription message is a delegated subscription, the presence server processes the message according to delegation authorization rules; when determining that the subscription message is a non-delegated subscription, the presence server processes the message in non-delegated subscription mode; and the presence server saves the subscription relation obtained by processing the message. The present invention further provides a system for subscribing for presence information and a presence server. By employing the present invention, the subscription mode of the presence information may be made more flexible.
