  • Patent number: 10950267
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a magnetic recording medium for a magnetic media drive. Absorbing smears can develop on magnetic recording heads during operation. The absorbing smears lead to shortened drive lifetime. Transparent smears, on the other hand, do not have as deleterious of an impact on drive lifetime as compared to absorbing smears. By doping the medium with a dopant that can lead to development of transparent smears, the formation of absorbing smears can be reduced or even eliminated, which leads to a longer drive lifetime. The dopant can be disposed in the capping layer of the medium or in the absorbing overcoat layer. The dopant will migrate through the medium to the top surface of the medium during operation. From the top surface of the medium, the dopant will deposit on the magnetic head and form a transparent smear.

Abstract: A substrate is disposed on a substrate holder within a process module. The substrate includes a mask material overlying a target material with at least one portion of the target material exposed through an opening in the mask material. A plasma is generated in exposure to the substrate. For a first duration, a bias voltage is applied at the substrate holder at a first bias voltage setting corresponding to a high bias voltage level. For a second duration, after completion of the first duration, a bias voltage is applied at the substrate holder at a second bias voltage setting corresponding to a low bias voltage level. The second bias voltage setting is greater than 0 V. • Patent number: 10932278
Abstract: It is recognized herein that, in some cases, URLLC transmissions may preempt a scheduled eMBB transmission. Thus, in accordance with one embodiment, resources are allocated for URLLC data transmission in a manner that minimally impacts eMBB data transmissions. In an example code block groups are configured for efficient multi-bit A/N feedback. Multi-bit A/N methods are disclosed with and without explicit resource allocation. Various preemption mechanisms are also described herein including, for example, puncturing, dropping the tail end of a transport block, and increasing rate matching.

  • Patent number: 10922335
Abstract: A method for providing content items to one or more client devices associated with at least one unresolved identifier. An unresolved identifier defines a context in which a client device accesses one or more online systems, the context not determined to be associated with a specific user. The method comprises identifying a set of unresolved identifiers, and identifying information describing one or more access events associated with each unresolved identifier. For each pair of unresolved identifiers, a similarity score for the pair is determined based on the identified information. Responsive to the similarity score exceeding a threshold similarity score, the pair of unresolved identifiers is clustered, the clustering indicating a prediction that the pair of unresolved identifiers are associated with a common user. Based on this clustering, a content item is displayed on or more user devices associated with at least one unresolved identifier of the set of unresolved identifiers.

  • Patent number: 10924171
Abstract: Multiple mobility sets are maintained for nodes of radio networks. The sets comprise information such as: transmit and receive point identities; cell identities; beam identities; frequency channels; channel bandwidth; and black lists. The sets may be defined at different levels, such as network and physical (PHY) level. A network mobility set, e.g., a new-radio (NR) mobility set may, be determined by the gNB, the cell, the UE, or another device. Multiple radio access network nodes and UEs may exchange mobility set information to achieve a distributed mobility solution. A UE may monitor its orientation relative to a TRP, e.g., via use of an onboard MEMS gyroscope, and alter its beamforming parameters in response to changes in orientation and/or changes in TRP connection strength. Cell selection and reselection for beam based networks may use Single Frequency Network (SFN) broadcast of initial access signals without beam sweeping.
