    Abstract: There is disclosed a method and system for controlling network timing precision of a seismic collector, and a terminal device. The method includes: using an interrupt mode to transmit a data packet; calculating an optimal network delay; and correcting a transmission error in a network timing process according to the optimal network delay, after which the physical layer of a server receives the data packet and sends the data from the physical layer of the server to the application layer of the server using the interrupt mode thereby timing the data packet.

    Abstract: A damage identification method based on cable force tests of a cable system and test error self-adaptive analysis is proposed to measure cable forces in prestressed steel structures and find out possible damage positions of the cable system. The method includes placing a laser velocimeter; measuring the vibration speed history data of the measuring point P on the cable by the laser velocimeter; calculating the cable force; calculating all the cable forces of the cable system through the same procedure; analyzing error between cables and finding out the possible damage of the cable or of the tie rod connected to the cable. The dynamic response characteristics of both in-plane and out-of-plane of a cable can be obtained through the method of the present invention. The self-verified more accurate results can be obtained, and the damage in a cable system can be determined according to error self-adaptive analysis.

    Abstract: A high-power electro-optic modulator (EOM) is formed to use specialized electrodes of a material selected to have a CTE that matches the CTE of the modulator's crystal. Providing CTE matching reduces the presence of stress-induced birefringence, which is known to cause unwanted modulation of the propagating optical signal. The specialized electrodes are preferably formed of a CuW metal matrix composite having a W/Cu ratio selected to create the matching CTE value. Advantageously, the CuW-based electrodes also exhibit a thermal conductivity about an order of magnitude greater than conventional electrode material (brass, Kovar) and thus provide additional thermal stability to the EOM's performance.

    Abstract: A process of removing methanol, CO2, or both from a hydrocarbon stream is described. The process uses an adsorbent comprising binderless type 3A zeolite. The adsorbent has high methanol removal capacity and low olefin co-adsorption capacity, as well as low reactivity in an olefin stream. This allows reduced adsorbent loading while maintaining downstream catalyst performance and product quality. The adsorbent comprises a type 3A zeolite comprising less than 5% of a binder and an ion exchange ratio of 30% to 70%. The adsorption process can obtain an outlet methanol content of 1 ppmw or less.

    Abstract: A system, method and apparatus to optimize repair in a memory module based on hardware errors identified by microprocessors and a configurable error handling policy. For example, the error handling policy can have a configuration file identifying an amount of repair resources available in the memory module as manufactured. Repair status data can be stored in the memory module to determine repair resources currently available for repair. Further, the error handling policy can be configured with a list of high risk memory addresses prioritized for repair. The list can be used to schedule proactive repair in response to memory errors that would otherwise not be repaired during a typical restarting of the computer system having the memory module.
