  • Patent number: 11094402
Abstract: A portable data-management system may be easily employed with multiple processing devices by eliminating the need to pre-install additional programs, agents, device drivers, or other software components on the hosts. A portable storage device contains software for a data-management application, which receives and processes test data from a meter that measures an analyte. The portable device may employ an interface protocol that makes the portable device immediately compatible with different operating systems and hardware configurations. Once the portable device is connected to the host, the data-management application can be automatically launched. The convenience and portability of a data-management system may be enhanced by integrating advanced data processing and display features with the portable device. The users may access some advanced presentations of health data without having to launch the data-management application on a separate host.

  • Patent number: 11087129
Abstract: A computer-implemented method, according to one embodiment, includes: sending one or more instructions to a web crawler to identify presentation videos on the internet and capture video data therefrom. In response, video data which corresponds to various presentation videos on the internet is received from the web crawler. The video data is used to define influence factors, such that different combinations of the influence factors represent different conditions of a presenter in the presentation videos. The video data is also used to define labels, where different combinations of the labels represent different conditions of one or more audience members in the presentation videos. Furthermore, structured data is generated by correlating certain presenter conditions with certain audience conditions, and the structured data is stored in memory.

  • Publication number: 20210073178
Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes positioning a sliding window over a string of data and calculating a hash value using a rolling hash function for data encompassed by the sliding window. The method includes determining whether the calculated hash value for the data encompassed by the sliding window matches the value of an element in a cut point candidate (CPC) array by comparing the calculated hash value to the value of a first element in the CPC array. In response to the calculated hash value being equal to the value of the first element in the CPC array, the method includes defining an index of the sliding window as the cutting point for a data block.

  • Patent number: 10901048
Abstract: An electronic magnetometer and a method for measuring a magnetic field are provided. A Gunn diode with magnetic shielding and a Gunn diode without magnetic shielding generate different induced high-frequency oscillating currents in various environments. The high-frequency oscillating current of the Gunn diode with magnetic shielding and the high-frequency oscillating current of the Gunn diode without magnetic shielding are processed by circuits and subsequently compared. The difference of frequencies in the two currents is proportional to the magnitude of magnetic field, and the magnitude of magnetic field is obtained.

  • Publication number: 20190103176
Abstract: An architecture allows individual system components to be developed and tested individually, i.e., as distinct modules, and to be subsequently combined through standardized electrical and communication interfaces. Any combination of these modules can be implemented to form different products that provide any number of functions, such as an integrated system for monitoring a health condition and/or delivering a medication. The architecture also provides an approach for dynamically updating the product and offering its users the latest generation of technology even after the users have already purchased the product. In particular, the embodiments employ the communication interfaces to also provide connection to a remote network that can update or upgrade the product's software when the product is out in the field.
