Patent number: 9120928Abstract: The invention relates to a method for preparing silica modified by a silane coupling agent. The method comprises the following steps: preparing a kind of coupling agent sol solution by mixing the solvent, water, catalyst and coupling agent; uniformly dispersing silica into the sol solution by means of ultrasonic dispersion or shear dispersion to achieve a turbid solution with uniform dispersion and ideal particle size; and then stirring the turbid solution at a constant speed to make the coupling agent sol reacting with silica to prepare highly hydrophobic silica modified by the coupling agent through controlling the temperature and reaction time. The coupling agent sol solution is obtained by a sol-gel process and silica is uniformly dispersed in the coupling agent sol solution through combined action of various dynamic means to ensure the sufficient reaction between silica and coupling agent, thus to obtain silica modified by the coupling agent.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 2011Date of Patent: September 1, 2015Assignee: Beijing University of Chemical TechnologyInventors: Li Liu, Fa zhong Zhang, Ying yan Mao, Yan Li, Shui Hu, Shi peng Wen, Li qun Zhang

Patent number: 8636627Abstract: Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is the most commonly injured knee ligament in sports-related activities, especially in pivoting sports. Considering that the knee is free to flex/extend but has much more limited motions about the off-axes (tibial rotation and valgus/varus), ACL injuries are often associated with excessive off-axis loadings. A pivoting/sliding mechanism combined with sagittal plane movement/exercise is described as a diagnostic tool to evaluate off-axis neuromechanical and anatomical risk factors of noncontact ACL injuries. The pivoting/sliding mechanism is also described as an intervention tool for off-axis training, possibly based on the diagnosis, to reduce the incidence of ACL injuries. Training outcome can also be evaluated using the pivoting/sliding mechanism. In general, the pivoting/sliding mechanism can be used with many sagittal plane exercise machines and used to improve off-axis control of the lower limbs and reduce lower limb injuries.Type: GrantFiled: March 24, 2008Date of Patent: January 28, 2014Assignee: Rehabtek LLCInventors: Li-Qun Zhang, Hyung-Soon Park, Yupeng Ren

Publication number: 20120277063Abstract: A real-time estimation of 3D moments of lower-limb joints using a robotic multi-axis training system with a 6-axis force/torque (F/T) sensors and a 6-DOF goniometer is described. A joint moment such as the knee abduction moment (KAM) can be determined in real-time without using sophisticated optoelectronic motion tracking system. Publication number: 20120165158Abstract: In respects of limitations and problems of motor function training devices, the present invention provides a wearable and convertible device and a method for controlling combined motor function training. This device integrates the functions of both passive stretching function in the existing CPM devices and additional active assistive training function. Without a force/torque sensor element in the device, the present passive stretching control can still be adapted to hypertonia (high muscle tone or stiffness of joints) of the limb, and the present active assistive control can still be implemented for enhancing voluntary active movement from patients. With such present method, much more applications of active assistive training are supported at substantially no additional cost. On the other hand, the safety of such stretching devices without using force/torque sensor is improved, which assists in increasing the efficiency of the device of the present invention.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 14, 2011Publication date: June 28, 2012Applicant: REHABTEK LLC.Inventors: Yupeng Ren, Li-Qun Zhang

Patent number: 7873939Abstract: Provides processing logic modeling and executing methods, systems and apparatus. These facilitate collaboration between business analyst and IT staff for process modeling and maintenance of the consistency between business level design and IT implementation design. A task is decomposed into sub-tasks and is represented by a tree. Annotations to the nodes of the tree are used to represent the relations between the sub-tasks. A processing logic is thus completed. When executing the processing logic, traversing the tree follows according to the annotations.Type: GrantFiled: May 26, 2008Date of Patent: January 18, 2011Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Zhong Tian, Sheng Ye, Xin Zhang, Jing Li, Wei Sun, Guan Qun Zhang
