Abstract: Methods are disclosed for making a base of a spa apparatus to resemble artificial rocks and wood. In one embodiment, the method is comprised of the following steps: making a mold in which its inner surface has the shape and surface texture of a rock or wood; placing a first structure on the inner surface of the mold, the first structure being operative to prevent warping of the base; spraying polymer on the mold; allowing the polymer to harden; and removing the hardened polymer from the mold, the hardened polymer having substantially the shape and surface texture of rock or wood.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments of systems and methods directed to a pedicure spa apparatus. A pedicure spa can include a basin having an embedded light aperture on a first interior surface of the basin. The embedded light aperture can further includes a light passing layer configured to fluidically seal the embedded light aperture and be substantially seamless with the first interior surface of the basin. The pedicure spa can also include a water agitation device coupled to an interior surface of the basin and a magnetic actuator coupled to an opposing surface of the interior surface.

Abstract: Embodiments of a disposable liner that is disposed in a cavity of a basin are disclosed. In one embodiment, a disposable liner that is disposed in a cavity of a basin includes sidewalls that are designed to adapt to the contours of the cavity of the basin and a bottom wall that is attached to the sidewalls and includes a drainage hole that is aligned with the drainage hole of the basin. The disposable liner further includes a cover that seals the drainage holes, preventing water from draining out of the disposable liner through the drainage hole. The cover includes an elongated tab that extends to a top edge of at least one of the side walls. The elongated tab is designed to facilitate peeling the cover off the disposable liner.

Abstract: Work stations for nail technicians are provided. In this regard, a representative work station, among others, includes a center console module having front, rear, top, and bottom walls. The rear wall includes holes at the proximal end and distal end for storing a nail drill device. The rear wall further includes an opening for storing a control unit of a nail drill device. The opening is adjacent to the holes at one of the proximal end and distal end. The rear wall further includes a drawer positioned between the holes at the proximal end and distal end. The work station further includes two end modules that are coupled to the center console module, forming a “U” shape configuration.

Abstract: Footrests and spa apparatuses are provided. In this regard, a representative footrest, among others, includes a first structure and a second structure. The first structure has a top wall, a first sidewall, and a second sidewall. The first sidewall has a pin attached on the outer surface of the first sidewall. The second sidewall has a protrusion on the inner surface of the second sidewall. The second structure is coupled to the first structure via a rod. The second structure has a bottom wall, a first sidewall, and second sidewall. The first sidewall has a pin attached on the outer surface of the first sidewall of the second structure. The second sidewall of the second structure having a protrusion on the inner surface of the second sidewall of the second structure. The pin of at least one of the first sidewalls of the first and second structures is configured to engage the protrusion of at least one of the second sidewalls of the first and second structures.
