  • Publication number: 20240035281
Abstract: Roofing panels with water shedding features may be installed on the roof of a house or other structure in lieu of or as an underlayment for traditional roofing materials. The water shedding features can be built into a base of the roofing panels, as part of a frame for the roofing panels, or formed as part of a waterproofing layer applied to the base of the roofing panels, or which can be configured as a roofing panel. The roofing panels also can be installed in overlapping courses along a roof with water shedding features applied thereto or incorporated along one or more peripheral edges. The water shedding features of adjacent roofing panels will collect and divert water away from the upper surfaces and/or away from headlap and/or sidelap joints defined between the roofing panels.

  • Patent number: 11888686
Abstract: Techniques are described herein that are capable of providing a recommendation of an admin change (i.e., an admin change recommendation) in an enterprise. A type of intended admin change that an administrator is to perform with regard to an enterprise is determined. The type is cross-referenced with information indicating admin changes made by administrator(s) in environment(s) of enterprise(s) and values of metrics resulting therefrom to identify subsets of the information to which the type corresponds. A causal relationship is inferred between admin change(s) made after an admin change of the type and an increase in value(s) of metric(s) that are indicated by information in the subsets. A recommended admin change is recommended to be performed by the administrator based at least in part on a causal relationship between the recommended admin change and an increase in at least one of the value(s) of at least one of the respective metric(s).

  • Publication number: 20240026685
Abstract: A hail resistant roofing system and method includes a roofing substrate such as a shingle or tile or membrane having an array of exposed upwardly projecting features. The features may rise to sharp points and may have side surfaces that are angled relative to the plane of the roofing substrate. The features are spaced and arranged so that a large hail stone capable of damaging the roofing substrate will always impact one or more of the exposed features. This can break up the hail stone into smaller benign pieces or can redirect the energy and direction of the hail stone so that the impact is absorbed without damage to the roofing substrate.

  • Publication number: 20230414249
Abstract: Exemplary methods and devices can be provided for harvesting a plurality of small tissue pieces, e.g., having widths less than about 1 mm or 0.5 mm, using one or more hollow needles. A fluid can be flowed through a conduit past the proximal ends of the needles to facilitate removal of the tissue pieces from the needle lumens, and can maintain the tissue pieces in a controlled and protective liquid environment. A filter can be used to extract and collect the tissue pieces from the liquid, or the tissue pieces can be deposited directly onto a porous dressing. Such tissue pieces can be used as microscopic grafts, which can be applied directly to a wound site or provided on a substrate or dressing, or stored for later use. Such microscopic grafts can promote tissue regrowth and wound healing, or can be applied to a scaffold to grow new tissue.

  • Patent number: 11840073
Abstract: In example implementations, a printing device is provided. The printing device includes a printer module, a first driver roller, and a second drive roller. The printer module includes a single set of print bars. A first side of the single set of print bars is to print on a first side of a continuous web of print media and a second side of the single set of print bars is to print on a second side of the continuous web of print media. The continuous web of print media travels over a common set of idler rollers. The first driver roller is to control an amount of tension of the continuous web of print media on a first side. The second drive roller is to control an amount of tension of the continuous web of print media on a second side. The amount of tension of the continuous web of print media on the second side is greater than the amount of tension of the continuous web of print media on the first side.

  • Publication number: 20230289274
Abstract: A solution is disclosed for computer hardware replacement using performance analytics that selects replacement computer hardware based on actual user needs and enterprise priorities. Key performance data is collected and compared with various baselines, thereby identifying hardware that is performing below acceptable levels. Enterprise data and collected data are received from an instrumented operating system on a computing device. The collected data includes boot performance, application performance, and hardware performance. Based at least on the collected data, a usability score is determined by performing a weighted calculation on the collected data. Based at least on the usability score and the enterprise data, it is determined whether a score improvement is required. Based at least on the enterprise data, a score improvement selection is determined. The score improvement selection is reported based at least on determining that a score improvement is required.
