  • Patent number: 9808345
Abstract: The disclosure is directed to a resilient implant for implantation into human or animal joints to act as a cushion allowing for renewed joint motion. The implant endures variable joint forces and cyclic loads while reducing pain and improving function after injury or disease to repair, reconstruct, and regenerate joint integrity. The implant is deployed in a prepared debrided joint space, secured to at least one of the joint bones and expanded in the space, molding to surrounding structures with sufficient stability to avoid extrusion or dislocation. The implant has opposing walls that move in varied directions, and an inner space filled with suitable filler to accommodate motions which mimic or approximate normal joint motion. The implant pads the damaged joint surfaces, restores cushioning immediately and may be employed to restore cartilage to normal by delivering regenerative cells.

  • Patent number: 9801407
Abstract: A compression system includes a compression device and a controller. A treated material is pressed longitudinally through a compression chamber by simultaneously applying a lateral pressure and a two-dimensional cross-section compression which includes a pressure applied in a direction traverse to a direction of transport and a pressure applied in a direction parallel to the direction of transport. The controller controls the two-dimensional cross-section compression applied to the treated material such that, during compression, liquids in the treated material migrate to the outer surface of the treated material upon reaching the outlet orifice.

  • Patent number: 9791053
Abstract: A ball valve with offset straight through flow is provided. The ball valve has a housing having an inlet and an outlet and an internal cavity. A non-spherical ball valve member is positioned within the internal cavity. The valve member is mechanically coupled to a valve stem extending from the internal cavity to an exterior of the housing such that rotation of the valve stem results in a like rotation of the valve member. The ball valve has a fully closed position wherein fluid flow therethrough is prevented. The ball valve member also has a fully opened position where fluid flow therethrough is allowed. The ball valve can transition from the fully closed position to the frilly opened position and vice versa with a rotation of the valve member of less than or equal to about forty-five degrees.

  • Publication number: 20170286192
Abstract: An interprogram communication system including a product engine, a program interface, and a visibility engine configured to employ interprogram communication messaging with each other. The product engine sends an information request that identifies an application feature to the visibility engine via the program interface. The visibility engine identifies a feature file associated with the application feature and identifies test statuses associated with the identified feature file. The visibility engine combines the test statuses with feature file information associated with the feature file to generate a release snapshot. The visibility program sends the release snapshot to the product engine via the program interface. The product engine generates a summary that comprises the test statuses and at least a portion of the feature file information.

  • Publication number: 20170266012
Abstract: This disclosure is directed to a resilient interpositional arthroplasty implant for application into a knee joint to pad cartilage defects, cushion a joint, and replace or restore the articular surface, which may preserve joint integrity, reduce pain and improve function. The implant may endure variable joint compressive and shear forces and cyclic loads. The implant may repair, reconstruct, and regenerate joint anatomy, and thereby improve upon joint replacement alternatives. Rather than using periosteal harvesting for cell containment in joint resurfacing, the walls of this invention may capture, distribute and hold living cells until aggregation and hyaline cartilage regrowth occurs. The implant may be deployed into debrided joint spaces, molding and conforming to surrounding structures with sufficient stability to avoid extrusion or dislocation.

  • Patent number: 9684588
Abstract: An interprogram communication system including a test engine, a program interface, and a visibility engine configured to employ interprogram communication messaging with each other. The test engine sends a feature notification that identifies a feature file to the visibility engine. The visibility engine associates a first test status and a second test status, and a workflow status with the feature file in response to receiving the feature notification. The test engine sends feature code test results to the visibility program via the program interface. The program interface translates feature code test results from a first format to a second format and sends the feature code test results in the second format to the visibility engine. The visibility engine updates the first test status and the second test status in response to receiving feature code test results from the test engine.

  • Patent number: 9625040
Abstract: A ball valve having an anti-rotational pressure plate that allows for a balanced pressure load on a valve member is provided. Additionally, the pressure plate can also fix the rotation of an adjacent flow disk, allowing for angular-orientation specific flow characterizing features to be used with the flow disk. By fixing the rotation of the flow disk, the ball valve can characterize flows using a greater variety of flow disk geometries, including angular-orientation dependent and angular-orientation independent flow disks. Further, the pressure plate could also be directly in the form of a flow disk that has anti-rotation features.
