  • Publication number: 20240056066
Abstract: Embodiments relate to identifying frequencies to be protected at a victim integrated circuit (IC) and sending protection information including the identified frequencies to an aggressor IC. The aggressor IC configures its subsystems or circuits to operate using operating frequencies that prevents spurs that may interfere with the frequencies identified in the protection information. If not all of the frequencies in the protection information can be protected, the aggressor IC selects a subset of the frequencies to be protected. Then, the aggressor IC configures the operating frequencies of its subsystems or circuits so that spurs that they generate do not interfere with the selected frequencies.

  • Patent number: 11721779
Abstract: An integrated circuit includes a photodetector that has an epitaxial layer with a first conductivity type located over a substrate. A buried layer of the first conductivity type is located within the epitaxial layer and has a higher carrier concentration than the epitaxial layer. A semiconductor layer located over the buried layer has an opposite second conductivity type and includes a first sublayer over the buried semiconductor layer and a second sublayer between the first sublayer and the buried layer. The first sublayer has a larger lateral dimension than the second sublayer, and has a lower carrier concentration than the second sublayer.

  • Publication number: 20230238410
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to a surface grating in a photodetector device. In an example, a semiconductor device structure includes a photodetector device. The photodetector device includes one or more photodiodes disposed in or over a semiconductor substrate, and includes a surface grating disposed at a respective surface of each photodiode of the one or more photodiodes. The surface grating has one or more periodicities. Each periodicity of the one or more periodicities has a period that is along a direction parallel to a first lateral direction across the semiconductor substrate and that is equal to or less than half of a dimension of at least one photodiode of the one or more photodiodes along a direction parallel to the first lateral direction. The one or more periodicities includes multiple different pitches.

  • Publication number: 20230072903
Abstract: Embodiments relate to updating spur cancellation at a victim integrated circuit (IC) in accordance with dynamic changes in the operating frequencies of an aggressor IC. The aggressor IC changes its operating frequencies at an update time that is determined in advance. The update time and the changes to the operating frequencies are shared with the victim IC. The victim IC dynamically updates the relationships between frequencies of local clock signals for the victim IC and the aggressor IC. The victim IC generates a spur cancellation parameter based on the updated relationships of local clock frequencies, the update time and the changes to the operating frequencies of the aggressor IC, and configures a spur cancellation circuit. In this way, the victim IC may perform effective spur cancellation despite changes in the operating frequencies of the aggressor IC and deviation of the local clock frequencies.

  • Publication number: 20220413106
Abstract: A pulsed light source illuminates a scene with a virtual array of points. • Patent number: 11500094
Abstract: Sensing apparatus includes a radiation source, which emits pulses of optical radiation toward multiple points in a target scene. A receiver receives the optical radiation that is reflected from the target scene and outputs signals that are indicative of respective times of flight of the pulses to and from the points in the target scene. Processing and control circuitry selects a first pulse repetition interval (PRI) and a second PRI, greater than the first PRI, from a permitted range of PRIs, drives the radiation source to emit a first sequence of the pulses at the first PRI and a second sequence of the pulses at a second PRI, and processes the signals output in response to both the first and second sequences of the pulses in order to compute respective depth coordinates of the points in the target scene.

  • Publication number: 20220244391
Abstract: Optical sensing apparatus includes a radiation source, which directs a series of optical pulses toward a target scene. A first array of single-photon detectors receives optical radiation that is reflected from the target scene and outputs electrical pulses in response to incident photons. A second array of counters aggregates and counts the electrical pulses output by the single-photon detectors over respective periods indicated by respective gating signals applied to the counters. Control logic applies the respective gating signals to the counters, in each of a sequence of image frames, so as to cause different ones of the counters to aggregate and count the electrical pulses output by one or more of the single-photon detectors over different, respective gating intervals relative to each of the optical pulses, and to sum the frame histograms generated with different temporal offsets so as to compute and output a cumulative histogram.

  • Patent number: 11171616
Abstract: A first branch group circuit includes a first branch circuit receiving a first RF input signal and first control information; and a second branch circuit receiving the first input signal and second control information. Each of the first and second branch circuits includes a power amplifier. The second control information enables the second branch circuit to be switched on or off while the first branch circuit remains on. A second branch group circuit includes: a third branch circuit receiving a second RF input signal and third control information; and a fourth branch circuit receiving the second input signal and fourth control information. Each of the third and fourth branch circuits includes a power amplifier. The fourth control information enables the fourth branch circuit to be switched on or off while the third branch circuit remains on. A combiner combines output signals of the power amplifiers to produce an output signal.
