  • Publication number: 20240239093
Abstract: Unique insulation articles including corrosion inhibitors and methods of producing the same are disclosed. One exemplary embodiment is an article of manufacture comprising an insulation mat comprising a cured combination of a plurality of randomly oriented fibers and a binder, the insulation mat extending between a first surface and a second surface, a veil attached to the first surface, the veil structured to inhibit physical movement of the cured combination through the veil, a metal sheet attached to the second surface by a water-containing adhesive contacting the metal sheet and the second surface, and a corrosion inhibitor composition deposited on the cured combination of the insulation mat, the corrosion inhibitor composition being effective to modify toward neutral a pH of the cured combination in contact with water from the water-containing adhesive.

  • Patent number: 11962218
Abstract: An electrical machine including a stator, a rotor and a bearing arrangement having a first bearing and a second bearing on opposite sides of the stator as well as a shielding arrangement comprising a first shielding unit and a second shielding unit. The rotor is rotatably supported around a rotation axis by means of bearings. The shielding units are electrically conductive and comprise a ring part in each case that extends originating from a radial inner end to a radial outer end away from the rotation axis. Preferably each shielding unit has a circumferential part on its radial outer end that extends in a continuous ring-shaped manner around rotation axis and is arranged in overlapping manner with the adjacent axial end of stator winding in axial direction. The circumferential parts are preferably completely closed, whereas the ring parts can comprise through holes.

  • Patent number: 11444374
Abstract: A lightning rod for protecting an antenna system involves a lightning rod having a plurality of sections. Each section of the plurality of sections has a dimension. The dimension is less than a quarter of a wavelength according to an operating frequency of the antenna system to be protected. The plurality of sections is inductively coupled. The lightning rod can also be part of a group of lightning rods, and a system of a lightning rod or a group of lightning rods with an antenna system.

  • Patent number: 11161586
Abstract: An insulation pack for thermally and acoustically insulating an aircraft has a mat formed from an insulation material, and a casing film which completely encases the mat. The casing film has drying openings, each closable a cover that is connected to the casing film. Each cover has a coating substance, the planar extent of which varying as a function of the relative air humidity of the air in the interior of the insulation pack such that each cover moves relative to the casing film, as a function of air humidity. The associated covers are adapted for assuming an orientation which, below a predetermined relative air humidity, closes the associated drying opening and which, at higher relative air humidity values, at least partially opens the associated drying opening.
