  • Patent number: 8882041
Abstract: An insulation package is provided for insulating a cabin of a vehicle that includes, but is not limited to at least one wrapping foil and at least one core layer of an insulation material. The wrapping foil envelopes the core layer at least in some regions and includes, but is not limited to at least one opening for feeding-through a holding element. On the wrapping foil a fastening element is arranged that is designed to establish a mechanical connection with the holding element fed through the opening. This can be a positive-locking or a non-positive-locking connection. By integrating the fastening element in the insulation package, the expenditure for separate fasteners can be saved so that the installation time and the different components can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 8861664
Abstract: A communication system and method is provided herein for synchronizing a plurality of network nodes after a network lock condition occurs within a network. According to one embodiment, the method may generate a local trigger signal simultaneously at each of the plurality of network nodes by compensating for unique phase delays attributed to each of the plurality of network nodes. As described herein, the local trigger signals may be used for synchronizing devices, such as multimedia devices, which may be coupled to the network nodes. More specifically, the local trigger signals may be used to synchronize events occurring within devices, which are coupled to different nodes of the network.

  • Patent number: 8727281
Abstract: An insulation package for thermal and acoustic insulation of a vehicle cabin has a cutout to allow a fastening device to pass through. An insulating element that is disposed in an area of the insulation package surrounding the cutout has an opening corresponding to the cutout for allowing a fastening device to pass through. At least part of the insulating element is aligned perpendicularly to an axis of the passthrough in the cutout and conformed so as to create a gap between a fastening device that has passed through and the insulation package. In this way, condensed water may be prevented from passing through the cutout in the insulation package and into the aircraft cabin.

  • Patent number: 8632619
Abstract: A filter element, in particular for filtering exhaust gases of an internal combustion engine, includes mutually parallel flow channels, at least two filter segments being provided which each have a subset of flow channels, the filter segments having a spacing from one another and being interconnected via connecting device(s) arranged integrally with the filter segments.

  • Publication number: 20130299630
Abstract: An insulation arrangement with two or more insulation packages that overlap such that at least one overlapping region is formed and are arrangeable on a fuselage wall is provided. The insulation packages comprise an insulating material and welded cover films. The cover films are realized in an airtight and waterproof fashion and comprise ventilation openings on a side that is directed toward the fuselage wall in an overlapping region. In this way, pressure variations in the insulation packages can be compensated with relatively dry air that originates from a gap between the insulation packages and the fuselage wall in order to thusly reduce the accumulation of condensation water in the insulation packages.

  • Publication number: 20130240668
Abstract: An insulation arrangement for thermally and acoustically insulating an aircraft fuselage, which comprises at least one insulation packet arranged on an exterior skin of the aircraft. The insulation packet includes dimensionally rigid foam, and comprises a shape corresponding at least with a structural component on the exterior skin, as the result of which the insulation packet is retained on the structural component even without any additional attachment elements. As a result, ventilation openings need not be provided, thereby reducing condensation water accumulating in aircraft insulation.

  • Patent number: 8490365
Abstract: The invention relates to an aircraft side fairing, with a component (9) in the form of individual hollow chambers (12, 13, 14) which are arranged essentially in a preferably curved plane and are arranged between two cover layers (1, 2), wherein a gastight film which completely encases the component (9) with the hollow chambers (12, 13, 14) is provided and, after application of a vacuum to evacuate the hollow chambers (12, 13, 14), surrounds the component (9) with the hollow chambers in a gastight manner.
