    Abstract: A cabin lining element for an aircraft cabin which is arranged in the interior of an aircraft fuselage structure, having a fuselage structure side and a cabin side. The cabin lining element comprises an electrically contactable heating lacquer layer at least in regions on its fuselage structure side. A rib is provided for an aircraft fuselage structure, having at least one foot portion on the outer skin facing side and a cabin facing side head portion. The rib comprises an electrically contactable heating lacquer layer at least in regions on a side of the head portion facing the cabin. As a result of the heating lacquer layer, it is possible to omit insulation which otherwise surrounds the rib heads and, as a consequence, to enlarge the width of the cabin.

    Abstract: Unique insulation articles including corrosion inhibitors and methods of producing the same are disclosed. One exemplary embodiment is an article of manufacture comprising an insulation mat comprising a cured combination of a plurality of randomly oriented fibers and a binder, the insulation mat extending between a first surface and a second surface, a veil attached to the first surface, the veil structured to inhibit physical movement of the cured combination through the veil, a metal sheet attached to the second surface by a water-containing adhesive contacting the metal sheet and the second surface, and a corrosion inhibitor composition deposited on the cured combination of the insulation mat, the corrosion inhibitor composition being effective to modify toward neutral a pH of the cured combination in contact with water from the water-containing adhesive.

    Abstract: An insulation pack for thermally and acoustically insulating an aircraft has a mat formed from an insulation material, and a casing film which completely encases the mat. The casing film has drying openings, each closable a cover that is connected to the casing film. Each cover has a coating substance, the planar extent of which varying as a function of the relative air humidity of the air in the interior of the insulation pack such that each cover moves relative to the casing film, as a function of air humidity. The associated covers are adapted for assuming an orientation which, below a predetermined relative air humidity, closes the associated drying opening and which, at higher relative air humidity values, at least partially opens the associated drying opening.
