  • Publication number: 20070268826
Abstract: A flow control method and system including an algorithm for deciding to transmit an arriving packet into a processing queue or to discard it, or, in the case of instructions or packets that must not be discarded, a similar method and system for deciding at a service event to transmit an instruction or packet into a processing queue or to skip the service event. The transmit probability is increased or decreased in consideration of minimum and maximum limits for each flow, aggregate limits for sets of flows, relative priority among flows, queue occupancy, and rate of change of queue occupancy. The effects include protection of flows below their minimum rates, correction of flows above their maximum rates, and, for flows between minimum and maximum rates, reduction of constituent flows of an aggregate that is above its aggregate maximum. Practice of the invention results in low queue occupancy during steady congestion.

  • Publication number: 20070154552
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a biologically active biomatrix composition. In one embodiment, the biomatrix composition is derived from human amnions. The biomatrix is termed HuBiogel™. The composition of HuBiogel™ closely mimics naturally occurring basement membrane compositions and is capable of supporting a wide variety of cell types in vitro and in vivo. The HuBiogel™ biomatrix disclosed comprises, in one embodiment, laminin, collagen I, and collagen IV, and may further comprise any combination of the following: entactin, tenascin, fibronectin and proteoglycans. The biomatrix composition is essentially free of endogenous growth factors and proteolytic enzymes. Also described are two- and three-dimensional culture systems and physiological/pathological model systems utilizing the HuBiogel™ compositions.

  • Publication number: 20050211017
Abstract: A dispensable brazing paste useful in lamp manufacturing includes a brazing powder and a water soluble vehicle that has water, glycerin, a binder, and a dispersant that includes ammonium stearate and ammonium citrate. Preferably, the brazing powder is 84-87 wt % of the paste, the water is 3-5 wt %, the glycerin is 3-4 wt %, the binder is 1-2 wt %, and the dispersant is 4-6 wt %, and a weight of the water is within a range of 60-90% of a weight of the dispersant. The brazing paste does not include the troublesome organic solvents of the prior art.

  • Publication number: 20050143584
Abstract: A process for the preparation of a novel antiozonant and antioxidant, based on functionalized benzotriazole UV absorbers, and the process for the preparation thereof having a general Formula I: wherein R1 and R2 are C1 to C8 linear or branched alkyl; R3 is hydrogen, tert-butyl; X1 is selected the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen, tert-butyl and C1 to C12 alkoxy.

  • Publication number: 20050034562
Abstract: A novel molybdenum compound, ammonium dodecamolybdomolybdate (AMM), is described which may be used in the manufacture of molybdenum metal and molybdenum carbide powders. The molybdenum compound is a dodecaheteropoly acid salt having a Keggin-type structure wherein molybdenum resides in both the hetero as well as peripheral atomic positions. The novel compound has the general formula (NH4)2Mo12MoO40.6H2O. Because of its low solubility, the compound can be crystallized efficiently and at a high purity from ammonium molybdate solutions.

  • Publication number: 20050027854
Abstract: A detection and response system that generates an Alert if unauthorized scanning is detected on a computer network that includes a look-up table to record state value corresponding to the sequence in which SYN, SYN/ACK and RST packets are observed. A set of algorithms executed on a processing engine adjusts the state value in response to observing the packets. When the state value reaches a predetermined value indicating that all three packets have been seen, the algorithm generates an Alert.
