  • Patent number: 10920148
Abstract: The present technology is generally directed to systems and methods for optimizing the burn profiles for coke ovens, such as horizontal heat recovery ovens. In various embodiments the burn profile is at least partially optimized by controlling air distribution in the coke oven. In some embodiments, the air distribution is controlled according to temperature readings in the coke oven. In particular embodiments, the system monitors the crown temperature of the coke oven. After the crown reaches a particular temperature range the flow of volatile matter is transferred to the sole flue to increase sole flue temperatures throughout the coking cycle. Embodiments of the present technology include an air distribution system having a plurality of crown air inlets positioned above the oven floor.

  • Publication number: 20210044678
Abstract: In one embodiment, a domain name system (DNS) service receives a DNS request sent by a client for a particular destination. The DNS service determines that a connection between the client and the particular destination will not support use of the Quick User Datagram Protocol (UDP) Internet Connections (QUIC) protocol. The DNS service generates a DNS response to the DNS request that includes an indication that the connection between the client and the particular destination will not support use of the QUIC protocol within an Extensions Mechanisms for DNS (EDNS) field of the DNS response. The DNS service sends the DNS response, to cause an intermediary between the client and the particular destination to explicitly reject a QUIC protocol connection attempted by the client with the particular destination.

  • Publication number: 20210044540
Abstract: Systems and methods described herein support compartment quotas in a cloud infrastructure environment. Cloud administrators do not generally have the ability to restrict resource usage in existing clouds. Granting a user permission to create resources allows them to create any number of resources up to a predefined account limit. Compartment quotas allow admins to restrict a user's resource usage to the appropriate level allowing fine-tuned cost control.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to inspecting a data stream. Some aspects include conveying the data stream through a multi-level data channel and inspection architecture. The architecture includes a multi-level data pipeline. The pipeline includes a plurality of parallel pipes. The output of one pipe provides an input to a successive one of the pipes. The method further includes receiving the data stream at an upstream portion of the pipeline and inspecting data in the data stream for converting the data stream into inspected data. The method then outputs inspected data at a downstream portion of the pipeline. Each of the pipes inspect the data on a different level of data channel inspection than the other pipes. Each level of data channel inspection has data attributes and/or metadata extracting capabilities. Each pipe transfer data packets at greater than or equal to a threshold data transfer rate.
