  • Patent number: 11889013
Abstract: An administrative or relay device can communicate with a target device, for example to disable lost or stolen devices using an SMS command. The SMS command is encrypted to prevent malicious attacks. The SMS command includes a universal device identifier unique to the target device, the phone number of the relaying device, and a time stamp memorializing command creation. The relaying device relays the encrypted command to the target device. Successful decryption authenticates the administrative or relay device. Before executing the command, however, the target device reviews the unique identifier to verify the target and compares the phone number of the relaying device with the number identified with the incoming SMS message to authenticate the relaying device. The target device also considers an embedded time stamp to determine whether the command is superseded by a subsequently issued though later received command.

  • Publication number: 20240024241
Abstract: High(greater than 30%) and/or low(less than 10%) loaded multiple API powdered/nanoparticle were tabulated with increased flowability and physical properties. Properties include blend flowability and uniformity, bulk packing density, compactability, tensile strength, and dissolution. Blending is done through solventless dry mechanical coating of at least one minority API component defined as the API component with the least weight per volume surface coated with nano-sized powders in lesser amounts by wt % of the blend, and preferably less than 10% dry coated of the minority API. An excipient may be dry coated in the lesser amount wherein the excipient is a minority component. Both minority excipient and minority API may be dry coated. Using dry coating instead of dry granulation and/or wet granulation techniques in producing tablets saves manufacturing steps, costs, and produces higher quality tablets with surprisingly higher properties than expected for low flowability solid powdered ingredients.

  • Publication number: 20240028671
Abstract: This disclosure describes a software licensing process that can be divided into two phases: 1) during production of electronic devices and 2) a renewal phase during operations after the electronic devices are deployed. In the first phase, a default software license goes out along with the firmware when the electronic devices are manufactured. The default software license does not need a hardware unique ID (HUID) and can be part of the firmware file, which makes it easy for manufacturing personnel. The second phase is the renewal phase. Before or after expiration of the software license, a customer can collect and send the HUIDs of the electronic devices to the licensor, e.g., manufacturer, and the licensor can generate a single software license for multiple devices.
