Abstract: Example embodiments of systems and methods for data transmission system between transmitting and receiving devices for use in a tap and walk store are provided. In an example embodiment, the transmitting device can generate a diversified key using the master key, protect a counter value and encrypt data prior to transmitting to the receiving device, which can generate the diversified key based on the master key and can decrypt the data and validate the protected counter value using the diversified key. Disclosed systems allow a user to purchase items utilizing the disclosed transmitting device.

The contactless card may include one or more processors and memory. The memory may include one or more applets. The client device may include one or more processors and memory. The client device may be in data communication with the contactless card. One or more servers may be in data communication with the client device. A first set of information may be transmitted from the contactless card to the client device. The first set of information may include one or more links to activate the contactless card. The client device may be configured to receive the first set of information from the contactless card. Upon validation of the first set of information, the contactless card may be activated.

An exemplary system and method may include establishing a database storing information for a plurality of accounts, receiving from a client device of the second account holder an account link request to link a first account with a second account, the account link request generated in response to a tap action between a contactless card and the client device, transmitting to a client device of the first account holder a link approval request to approve the account link request, receiving from the first account holder client device, a link approval message generated in response to an indication by the first account holder approving the account link request, and transmitting to the second account holder client device an account link.

A cryptographic result including the counter may be generated using one or more cryptographic algorithms and the card key. A cryptogram may be generated using the first session key and encrypted using the second session key. The application may be transmit one or more messages to the first applet of the contactless card. The first applet may be configured to establish one or more communication paths to the second applet based on receipt of the one or more messages from the client device. The second applet may be deactivated by the first applet via the one or more communication paths.

A server may receive a phone call and generate a uniform resource locator (URL) comprising a session identifier for an account. The server may transmit the URL to a client device. The server may receive, from a web browser, a request comprising the URL. The server may determine that the session identifier in the URL of the request matches the session identifier for the account, and transmit, to the web browser, a web page at the URL. The server may receive, from the web browser, a cryptogram read by the web page via a card reader of the client device and decrypt the cryptogram. The server may authenticate the identity of the caller for the call based on decrypting the cryptogram and the session identifier of the URL matching the session identifier of the account.

Abstract: Example embodiments of systems and methods for data transmission between a contactless card and a receiving application are provided. The transmitting device may include a processor, memory, and communication interface. A receiving application may include instructions for execution on a receiving device having a processor, a memory, a communication interface configured to create a communication field for data communication with the transmitting device, and one or more sensors. Upon movement of the transmitting device, the receiving application is configured to receive, via one or more sensors, feedback information associated with the transmitting device, display one or more instructions regarding the position of the transmitting device relative to the receiving device until the transmitting device enters the communication field. Upon entry into the communication field, the transmitting device is configured to transmit data to the receiving device.

Abstract: System and methods of contactless card authentication systems include a contactless card and a client device having an application, a processor, and a card reader. An application on the client device receives a transaction lockdown request, sends a request to the server to begin to allow a transaction approval within a time period, receives the transaction approval via an authentication tap from the contactless card, sends the transaction approval to the server; and receive an allowance or disallowance response from the server.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein generally relate to an apparatus for counterfeit detection and a method implementing the same. In one embodiment, as apparatus is disclosed herein. The apparatus includes a first end, a second end, an elongated body, an ink cartridge, a controller, and a trigger. The elongated body extends from the first end to the second end. The elongated body defines a cavity therein. The ink cartridge is disposed in the cavity. The controller is positioned within the cavity. The controller is configured to communicate with at least one computing system remote from the apparatus. The trigger is in electronic communication with the controller. The trigger extends at least partially though the elongated body. The trigger is actionable between a first position and a second position. A change from the first position to the second position transmits an electronic signal to the controller.

Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to using a near-filed communication (NFC) contactless card to perform one or more transactions within a vehicle. For example, a user may load value (money, funds, digital currency, etc.) onto an in-vehicle device (transponder, badge, card, etc.) by performing one-tap authentication or one-tap payment, or both, via the contactless card. Thus, even under time-constrained circumstances, payment may be loaded to the in-vehicle device in a quick, efficient, and safe manner.

Abstract: Disclosed are a system and methods enabling updating of a card number of a payment card and thereby reissuing the payment card utilizing a reissue application associated with the payment card. The reissue application, when executed communicates with a service provider that manages the payment card. The payment card includes processing circuity and a rewriteable visual display. Using cryptographic techniques, the reissue application and payment card are authenticated to the service provider. Upon verification, an updated card number is obtained and provided via near-field communication to the payment card. In response to the update payment card number received from the reissue application, the rewriteable visual display on the payment card is updated with the updated card number. Other information may also be presented on the rewriteable visual display of the payment card based on user preferences.

Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to dynamically and temporarily adjusting power to an NFC reader of a computing device from a first power level to a second power level based on a feedback mechanism between a contactless card and the computing device. The contactless card may provide a message containing a checksum. The computing device may receive the message and calculate a checksum based on the received message. By comparing these two checksums, it may be determined whether the entire message has been correctly received. If not, the power to the NFC reader may be temporarily increased to allow better communication between the contactless card and the computing device.

The verifying may include locating the at least one device identifier in a blockchain record of a transaction involving the at least one external device. The processing may include performing at least one transaction requiring the verified at least one external device identifier.

Abstract: Systems and methods build blockchains and verify assets for smart contracts. A system includes a memory, a blockchain, a set of nodes, a set of verifiers, a set of miners, and a consensus protocol. The memory can have a block data structure representing a transaction for an asset having an identifier and at least one verifiable characteristic. The consensus protocol can include rules for: receiving the stake at risk from the verifiers, providing the reputational score to the verifiers, verifying the verifiable characteristic of the asset by the verifiers, cryptographic verification by the miners, adding the new block to the blockchain by the miners, providing the reward to the miners, and distributing the copy of the blockchain to each node.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed that leverage multi-factor authentication features of a service provider and intelligent call routing to increase security and efficiency at a customer call center. Pre-authentication of customer support requests reduces the potential for misappropriation of sensitive customer data during call handling. A contactless card uniquely associated with a client may provide a second factor of authentication via a backchannel to reduce the potential for malicious third-party impersonation of the client prior to transfer of the call to the customer call center. Pre-authorized customer support calls may be intelligently and efficiently routed directly to call center agents, without incurring further delay. During call handling, call center agents may initiate further client authentication processes, including contactless card authentication requests, over one or more different communication channels for authorizing access to sensitive information or to allay suspicion.

The multi-function transaction card may have a length and a width that are in accordance with a standard for transaction cards. The multi-function transaction card may selectively perform a payment transaction based on determining whether to submit the first payment or to receive the second payment. The payment transaction may be performed by providing first card data to a transaction terminal for processing when the multi-function transaction card is to submit the first payment. The payment transaction may be performed by receiving second card data from the other transaction card, and processing the second card data via online data authentication, or via offline data authentication, when the multi-function transaction card is to receive the second payment.

The system further comprises receiving a notice that the user purchased an item, determining whether a listing of the purchased item has been automatically collected, and generating a list of components of the purchased item when the purchased item listing has been automatically collected, and obtaining from the user the list of components of the purchased item when the purchased item listing has not been automatically collected. The system further determines whether the purchased item contains an undesired component, and upon determining that the purchased item contains art undesired component, sends the alert to the user.
