  • Publication number: 20210092224
Abstract: A server can receive a plurality of records at a databases such that each record is associated with a phone call and includes at least one request generated based on a transcript of the phone call. The server can generate a training dataset based on the plurality of records. The server can further train a binary classification model using the training dataset. Next, the server can receive a live transcript of a phone call in progress. The server can generate at least one live request based on the live transcript using a natural language processing module of the server. The server can provide the at least one live request to the binary classification model as input to generate a prediction. Lastly, the server can transmit the prediction to an entity receiving the phone call in progress. The prediction can cause a transfer of the call to a chatbot.

  • Publication number: 20210073844
Abstract: Systems, methods, articles of manufacture, and computer-readable media for verified reviews. An application may receive an indication to generate a review. An application programming interface (API) of the application may receive, from a communications interface of a contactless card, encrypted data generated by the contactless card. The API of the application may transmit, to an authentication server: the encrypted data, an indication of the application, and an identifier associated with the entity. The API of the application may receive indications specifying that the authentication server decrypted the encrypted data and determined that the contactless card was used to make a purchase with the entity. The application may permit, based on the indications received from the authentication server, generation of the review. The application may publish the review to one or more review platforms associated with the application.

  • Publication number: 20210067202
Abstract: A position alignment system facilitates positioning of a contactless card in a ‘sweet spot’ in a target volume relative to a contactless card reading device. Alignment logic uses information captured from available imaging devices such as infrared proximity detectors, cameras, infrared sensors, dot projectors, and the like to guide the card to a target location. The captured image information is processed to identify a card position, trajectory and predicted location using one or both of a machine learning model and/or a Simultaneous Localization and Mapping logic. Trajectory adjustment and prompt identification may be intelligently controlled and customized using machine-learning techniques to customize guidance based on the preference and/or historical behavior of the user. As a result, the speed and accuracy of contactless card alignment is improved and received NFC signal strength is maximized, thereby reducing the occurrence of dropped transactions.

  • Patent number: 10929846
Abstract: A method for improved security at automated teller machines (ATMs) comprising: capturing, by a first camera at an ATM, one or more images of a bank card; reading card information from the bank card by processing the one or more images of the bank card, wherein the card information comprises an account number and an expiration date; receiving, from an input device at the ATM, a personal identification number (PIN) entered by a user; sending a request to a server device to verify the card information and the PIN; and in response receiving a response from the server device, allowing the user to transact with the ATM.

  • Publication number: 20210042107
Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to techniques provide applets to transaction card. In embodiments, a transaction card may receive an applet signed with a verification signature. The transaction card may determine whether the verification signature matches one of the verification values stored on the memory, enable the applet including the instructions for execution by the processing circuitry in response to the determination the verification signature matches one of the verification values, and prevent enablement of the applet including the instructions for execution in response to the determination the verification signature does not match any of the verification values.

  • Patent number: 10909527
Abstract: Example embodiments relate to reissuing or otherwise altering a contactless card. These embodiments are particularly well-suited to an emergency reissue in which many cards have been compromised as the result of a data breach of a major credit card provider or department store. An exemplary contactless card includes a chip that stores encrypted authentication information, including a primary account number (PAN) that identifies the card. The chip may include a first applet responsible making payments with the card; the first applet may manage the PAN. A second applet may be capable of interacting with an outside application, and may serve as a bridge to the first applet. A rewrite of the PAN may be triggered by issuing a write command to the second applet, or by interacting with the chip in a predetermined manner (e.g., tapping the card on an interactable element a predetermined number of times).

  • Patent number: 10911101
Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to dynamically and temporarily adjusting power to an NFC reader of a computing device from a first power level to a second power level based on a feedback mechanism between a contactless card and the computing device. The contactless card may provide a message containing a checksum. The computing device may receive the message and calculate a checksum based on the received message. By comparing these two checksums, it may be determined whether the entire message has been correctly received. If not, the power to the NFC reader may be temporarily increased to allow better communication between the contactless card and the computing device.

  • Publication number: 20210019756
Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to continuous authentication of a user to a digital service based on activity of a contactless card positioned proximate to a computing device on which the digital service operates. For example, a series of periodic status messages may be provided between a client device and the contactless card to verify whether the contactless card remains active, wherein authorization to access the digital service continues while the contactless card is active, and terminates when the contactless card is inactive.

  • Publication number: 20210019731
Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to using a near-filed communication (NFC) contactless card to perform one or more transactions within a vehicle. For example, a user may load value (money, funds, digital currency, etc.) onto an in-vehicle device (transponder, badge, card, etc.) by performing one-tap authentication or one-tap payment, or both, via the contactless card. Thus, even under time-constrained circumstances, payment may be loaded to the in-vehicle device in a quick, efficient, and safe manner.

  • Publication number: 20210012324
Abstract: Disclosed are a system and methods enabling updating of a card number of a payment card and thereby reissuing the payment card utilizing a reissue application associated with the payment card. The reissue application, when executed communicates with a service provider that manages the payment card. The payment card includes processing circuitry and a rewriteable visual display. Using cryptographic techniques, the reissue application and payment card are authenticated to the service provider. Upon verification, an updated card number is obtained and provided via near-field communication to the payment card. In response to the update payment card number received from the reissue application, the rewriteable visual display on the payment card is updated with the updated card number. Other information may also be presented on the rewriteable visual display of the payment card based on user preferences.
