Abstract: An aseptic coupling arrangement includes a first coupling device and a second aseptic coupling device. In one example, the first and second coupling devices are substantially similar, each having a main body having a front face and a fluid passageway therethrough. A first connecting feature on the main body of each coupling device may be provided for aligning and coupling the aseptic devices together. Each coupling device may also include a sealing member received in the main body and a membrane removably coupled to the main body front face to cover the sealing member. The first aseptic coupling device may also include a rotatable protective cover that is removably attached to the main body and connected to the membrane. In one example, the removal of the protective covers away from two coupled main bodies, in a direction parallel to the front faces, causes removal of the membranes.

Receiving second meter data for a plurality of second meters, each of the plurality of second meters associated with an institution having a renewable energy power generation component and measuring an amount of power consumed by each associated institution over a period of second time. Determining a difference between the amount of power measured by each of the first meters and the amount of power measured by a corresponding one of each of the second meters at each institution.

Abstract: Communication paths between a management computing device and a managed computing device are determined. The communication paths have different communication modalities. Current situational factors governing a current communication need between the management computing device and the managed computing device are determined. A hierarchy of the communication paths, from a highest priority communication path to a lowest priority communication path, is determined based on the current situational factors. The management request for the current communication need is successively sent, from the management computing device to the managed computing device, using the one of the communication paths starting with the highest communication path and proceeding through the hierarchy until the current communication need has been fulfilled.

Abstract: A computing device receives a notification from a remote computing system that an event has occurred, and determines an action to resolve the event. The device may present the action via a user interface element, and responsive to user actuation of the element, perform the action. The device may instead automatically perform the action without first obtaining user approval, and then present the action and a user interface element to roll back performance of the action; responsive to user actuation of the element, the device performs an undo action. The device may alternatively present the action and a user interface element to disapprove performance of the action. If a user does not actuate the element within a length of time, the device automatically performs the action without first obtaining user approval; if the user actuates the element, the device does not perform the action.

Abstract: A lamp comprising a light source comprising at least one solid state emitter. The lamp comprises a heat sink body in thermal communication with said light source. At least one air flow nozzle is present in the lamp to direct air flow across at least a portion of the heat sink body. The lamp further comprises an active cooling device, in which the active cooling device is in fluid communication with the at least one air flow nozzle and is configured to provide a flow of air to the at least one air flow nozzle. The lamp further comprises driver electronics configured to provide power to each of the light source and the active cooling device, wherein the driver electronics are remote from the active cooling device.

The system comprises a computer system including a database application to provide access to a database system, and at least one processor. The computer system requests retrieval of application specific property information for the database application from a data repository, and applies the retrieved application specific property information to the database application to control operation of the database application. Embodiments of the present invention further include a method and computer program product for controlling database applications in substantially the same manner described above.
