Publication number: 20250122978Abstract: A method and apparatus for storing a cryogenic material, such as liquid hydrogen is described. The apparatus includes a liquid hydrogen storage container with a structural support system that enables frequent loading and unloading of the structural support system. The structural support system enables loading and unloading without permanent deformation or fatigue of the structural support system. The structural support system includes a plurality of support members which are oriented at an angle tangent to a portion of an inner shell, which forms a cavity holding the cryogenic material. The portion of the inner shell which the support member is tangent to is the portion of the inner shell closest to an end of the support member.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 10, 2024Publication date: April 17, 2025Inventors: David CREECH, Steven Matthew CIHLAR, Randy Lee EBERLY

Patent number: 12267305Abstract: Systems and techniques for privacy preserving document analysis are described that derive insights pertaining to a digital document without communication of the content of the digital document. To do so, the privacy preserving document analysis techniques described herein capture visual or contextual features of the digital document and creates a stamp representation that represents these features without included the content of the digital document. The stamp representation is projected into a stamp embedding space based on a stamp encoding model generated through machine learning techniques capturing feature patterns and interaction in the stamp representations. The stamp encoding model exploits these feature interactions to define similarity of source documents based on location within the stamp embedding space. Accordingly, the techniques described herein can determine a similarity of documents without having access to the documents themselves.Type: GrantFiled: May 15, 2023Date of Patent: April 1, 2025Assignee: Adobe Inc.Inventors: Nikolaos Barmpalios, Ruchi Rajiv Deshpande, Randy Lee Swineford, Nargol Rezvani, Andrew Marc Greene, Shawn Alan Gaither, Michael Kraley

Publication number: 20250013670Abstract: A database manager is disclosed that retrieves database records having binary encoded data from a database and instantiating objects in an in-memory database. Binary encoding compresses data, allowing many subrecords to be stored a single blob field of a database record. Retrieving chunks from storage reduces transfer time by reducing the size of data and the number of operations needed to retrieve all the subrecords. The database manager receives database access requests from a database application. Changes made to the database objects and committed by the application are written back to the persistent database as versioned delta records. In a subsequent session, loading the database from storage includes first loading the most recent snapshot record, then applying changes to the data stored in delta records. The changes stored in the delta records are applied to the data in the snapshot record in the order in which they were made.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 16, 2024Publication date: January 9, 2025Applicant: Oracle International CorporationInventors: Jack Randall Smiley, Byron Kevin Mckenzie, Anurag Garg, Randy Lee Haben

Patent number: 12187416Abstract: A landing gear system for a vehicle includes a landing gear configured for reciprocating motion between a stowed position and a deployed position. The landing gear has a linkage with a first link rotatably coupled to a second link. The linkage reciprocates between folded and extended states when the landing gear reciprocates between the stowed and deployed positions, respectively. A fail-secure downlock includes first and second electromagnets fixedly positioned relative to the first and second links, respectively. The first electromagnet is proximate to the second electromagnet when the landing gear is in the stowed position. The first electromagnet is attracted to the second electromagnet when the downlock is in the locked state. The first electromagnet is repelled by the second electromagnet when the downlock is in the unlocked state.Type: GrantFiled: May 1, 2023Date of Patent: January 7, 2025Assignee: Safran Landing Systems Canada Inc.Inventors: Randy Lee, Zoran Pasic, Michael Saccoccia

Patent number: 12187417Abstract: A landing gear system includes a landing gear assembly coupled to a body of a vehicle and configured for reciprocating motion between a retracted position and an extended position. A fail-secure uplock assembly is reciprocal between a locked state and an unlocked state. A first electromagnet and a first permanent magnet are mounted to the body, and a second electromagnet and a second permanent magnet are mounted to a component of the landing gear assembly. The first and second electromagnets generate magnetic fields with reversible polarities. When the landing gear assembly is in the retracted position, the first permanent magnet is attracted to the second permanent magnet. The first electromagnet is attracted to the second electromagnet when the uplock assembly is in the locked state and is repelled by the second electromagnet when the uplock assembly is in the unlocked state.Type: GrantFiled: May 1, 2023Date of Patent: January 7, 2025Assignee: SAFRAN LANDING SYSTEMS CANADA INC.Inventors: Randy Lee, Zoran Pasic, Michael Saccoccia
