  • Publication number: 20230306007
Abstract: New data structures for analyzing a log are generated. A hierarchical data structure includes a plurality of hierarchical nodes. Each node is associated with data and metadata. Each node may also be associated with analysis data. Information (data, metadata, and/or analysis data) of an ancestor node is imputed to a descendant node; a descendant node inherits the information of an ancestor node. When determining analysis data for a particular hierarchical node, information from any ancestor node to the particular hierarchical node may be used; however, information from non-ancestor nodes is not necessarily used. A timeline data structure includes a reference to a hierarchical node within a hierarchical data structure and a reference to an event type. The timeline data structure is thereby associated with the information of the referenced hierarchical node and information of any ancestor nodes to the referenced hierarchical node.

  • Publication number: 20230297593
Abstract: Herein is database administration workflow automation with source annotations and intelligent scheduling techniques for applying a hierarchy of interdependent administrative tasks to distributed and/or nested databases. In an embodiment, a source language compiler analyzes annotations to identify a hierarchy of administrative tasks that administers pluggable databases in container databases. From the annotations, a runtime codebase is generated that implements and invokes the administrative task hierarchy. At runtime, a container database management system (CDBMS) autonomously identifies and instantiates the administrative tasks, including identifying a dependency of a first administrative task on a second administrative task and a lack of dependency of a third administrative task on the second administrative task.

  • Publication number: 20230300023
Abstract: In some examples an electronic device includes a sensor, and a controller to detect a proximity of a second electronic device via the sensor. In response to determining that the proximity is within a threshold distance, the controller causes transmission of context information to the second electronic device. The context information is generated based on a location, a time, an application executed by the second electronic device, or a combination thereof. In response to the transmission of the context information, the controller receives a first signal from the second electronic device, and, in response to the first signal, the controller causes transmission of a second signal, the second signal to enable coupling to the second electronic device.

  • Publication number: 20230289459
Abstract: Herein are multitenant database security techniques for fine-grained and dynamic access control of protected resources according to phases and roles. In an embodiment, a computer associates a process with a particular pluggable database of many pluggable databases in a container database in a database management system (DBMS). From the process, a request is received to access a protected resource that the particular pluggable database does not contain. Based on the protected resource and the particular pluggable database, the DBMS dynamically decides, in response to receiving the request, whether to permit access to the protected resource. Based on authorization by the DBMS, the protected resource is accessed to fulfil the request. In an embodiment, centrally managed policy decisions for restricted access are dynamically employed across a fleet of databases through a global policy manager.

  • Patent number: 11756049
Abstract: Systems and techniques are generally described for detecting evasive terms in item listings. In some examples, a first list of terms is determined. Terms of the first list of terms may be associated with evasive listing practices. In various examples, a first embedding representing a first term in an embedding space may be determined. In some examples, the top k closest embeddings in the embedding space to the first embedding may be determined. A term associated with one of the top k embeddings may be determined. A first Levenshtein distance between the first term and the second term may be determined. A list of items associated with the second term may be determined based on the Levenshtein distance being less than a threshold distance. An alert related to the list of items may be generated.

  • Patent number: 11741022
Abstract: Many computer applications comprise multiple threads of executions. Some client application requests are fulfilled by multiple cooperating processes. Techniques are disclosed for creating and managing memory namespaces that may be shared among a group of cooperating processes in which the memory namespaces are not accessible to processes outside of the group. The processes sharing the memory each have a handle that references the namespace. A process having the handle may invite another process to share the memory by providing the handle. A process sharing the private memory may change the private memory or the processes sharing the private memory according to a set of access rights assigned to the process. The private shared memory may be further protected from non-sharing processes by tagging memory segments allocated to the shared memory with protection key and/or an encryption key used to encrypt/decrypt data stored in the memory segments.

  • Patent number: 11729276
Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for a rapid online variable sourcing infrastructure for decision system. Specifically, endpoints may be injected into domain servers serving as a template for sourcing new data variables. When new variables are involved, a first endpoint is injected for registering variables exposed to the domain server, and a second endpoint may be injected to fetch data values at run time, e.g., during the actual decision computation. In this way, data pipeline latency can be avoided during the sourcing process, as the data variables can be sourced from domain servers at run time.

  • Publication number: 20230236161
Abstract: A gas sensor is formed by a thin-film semiconductor metal-oxide gas sensing layer, with a thermally conductive and electrically-insulating layer in direct physical contact with a back of the gas sensing layer to carry the gas sensing layer. Sensing circuitry applies a voltage to the gas sensing layer and measures a current flowing through the gas sensing layer. The current flowing through the gas sensing layer is indicative of whether a gas under detection has been detected by the gas sensing layer, and serves to self-heat the gas sensing layer. A support structure extends from a substrate to make direct physical contact with and carry the thermally conductive and electrically insulating layer about a perimeter of a back face thereof, with the support structure shaped to form an air gap between the back of the thermally conductive and electrically insulating layer and a front of the substrate.

  • Publication number: 20230229573
Abstract: Herein are resource-constrained techniques that plan ahead for resiliently moving pluggable databases between container databases after a failure in a high-availability database cluster. In an embodiment that has a database cluster that hierarchically contains many pluggable databases in many container databases in many virtual machines, a computer identifies many alternative placements that respectively assign each pluggable database instance (PDB) to a respective container database management system (CDBMS). For each alternative placement, a respective placement score is calculated based on the PDBs and the CDBMSs. Based on the placement scores of the alternative placements, a particular placement is selected with a best placement score that indicates optimal resilience for accommodating adversity such as failover and overcrowding.

  • Patent number: 11706520
Abstract: An under-display camera is positioned underneath a display of a mobile device. The under-display camera captures an image using light passing through a portion of the display. The mobile device displays a display image on the display, the display image based on the image. The mobile device displays an indicator overlaid over the display image on an indicator area of the display that overlaps with the portion of the display. The indicator may identify the position of the camera. The mobile device can compensate for occlusion of the camera by continuing to display a previous display image if a more recently captured image includes an occlusion. The mobile device can give users alternate ways to select areas of the display image to avoid camera occlusion, for instance using hardware buttons and/or touchscreen interface elements.
