  • Publication number: 20080195895
Abstract: According to the method for configuring an information system (1), components (2) are provided for the information system (1) and component-specific error susceptibility data (3) on the individual components (2). For a given system configuration (5), error susceptibility information (7) is determined for the information system (1) in this given system configuration (5) as a function of the component-specific error susceptibility data (3). The error susceptibility information (7) is evaluated with reference to given evaluation criteria (8). In a subsequent step, the information system (1) is configured in the given system configuration (5) if the error susceptibility information (7) satisfies the given evaluation criteria (8). By means of the method, it is achieved that only system configurations are accepted that satisfy requirements specified by the evaluation criteria (8) with respect to the reliability of the information system (1).

  • Publication number: 20080178036
Abstract: A respective agent platform in network elements and producer-specific agents that are installed directly on platform or by way of agent proxies of agent providers are disclosed. The agents then receive raw information on arising operating errors by way of a defined interface of the agent platform, and, together with producer-specific information on the respective terminals or types of terminal that are known only to the respective producer, form corresponding compressed decision information for evaluating cases of error and/or for optimising reconfiguration decisions. The agents then provide the information for the network element or the network operator and/or the agent provider or the terminal producer, via the defined interface. This leads to a higher reliability of the interoperability of terminals and network elements in mobile radio networks including reconfigurable terminals.

  • Patent number: 7347783
Abstract: In a drive shaft including an outer tube extending from one end and a core shaft extending from the other end at least partially into the outer tube and an elastomer damping element disposed between the outer tube and the core shaft and being vulcanized to the outer tube and the core shaft for the transmission of a torque therebetween, several support rings are disposed in axially spaced relationship between the outer tube and the core shaft and abut the outer tube and the core shaft so as to permit relative movement between the outer tube and the core shaft but prevent bending of the drive shaft.

  • Publication number: 20070211980
Abstract: In a shaft bearing comprising outer and inner parts with an elastic element carrier disposed therebetween, the elastic element carrier includes first and second elastic elements disposed on opposite radial sides thereof and is movable with respect to one of the outer and inner parts in axial direction and with respect to the other of the outer and inner parts in radial direction, and the elastic elements disposed between the element carrier and the outer, and respectively, the inner parts have selectable elasticities so as to provide for distinct selectible radial and axial resiliencies of the shaft bearing.

  • Publication number: 20050227684
Abstract: The invention relates to reconfiguration of a mobile radio terminal with configurable transceiver, where scheduling data for improving a predictive configuration are included, with the scheduling data including information about at least one planned journey and information about at least one desired location and/or time-dependent communication profile for the relevant journey, with a check being made on whether the relevant journey is in principle possible with the desired communication profile on the basis of the existing communication structure and with alternative actions for changes being offered to enable optimally realizable journey data and/or optimally realizable communication profiles with a corresponding prior software download and connection setup to be achieved.

  • Patent number: 6604924
Abstract: A positive-displacement pump including a rotating vane disposed within a pump housing. The rotating vane is driven by a rotating drive shaft and the rotating vane is radially displaceable relative to the drive shaft wherein the ends of the rotating vane carry sealing strips that adjoin an inner wall of the pump housing. At least one energy storage device is included for engaging the vane and holding the sealing strips in sealing contact with the housing.

  • Patent number: 6077475
Abstract: In a device for inductive hardening of profiled camshafts (especially those having valve cams and zero cams) during a hardening operation, the camshaft is surrounded by an inductor and is heated by means of a magnetic field emanating from the inductor. The inductor has several axial members and radial members through which the induction current flows during the hardening operation. Dynamo sheets provided on the axial branches focus the magnetic field in the radial direction. The position and the width of the dynamo sheets is adapted to the surface profile of the camshaft, so that the focusing is aimed at areas with a small diameter.

  • Patent number: 5651668
Abstract: An apparatus for thermally cleaning exhaust air containing combustible components comprises at least one combustion chamber for thermally cleaning an exhaust fluid stream and at least two containers adapted for gases to flow therethrough and containing heat storage material for heating the exhaust fluid stream to be cleaned before it enters the combustion chamber and for receiving heat from the cleaned exhaust fluid stream exiting the combustion chamber. Each of the containers has at least one first opening for connecting the container interior to the combustion chamber and at least one second opening for supplying exhaust fluid stream to be cleaned to the container interior and for withdrawing the cleaned exhaust fluid stream from the container interior. The containers accommodating the heat storage substances can be flexibly configured and, if desired, arranged one behind the other in a row.

  • Patent number: 4975340
Abstract: The process for making a thin Molybdenum sulfide film on a substrate in which the physical properties vary in a wide range and can be adjusted to the desired values comprises depositing on the substrate from a reaction gas mixture in the gas phase. This can be accomplished by decomposing a volatile molybdenum compound together with a volatile sulfur compound as a reactive gas in a glow discharge to form the reaction gas mixture in the presence of the substrate. The molybdenum compound can be molybdenum hexacarbonyl. The sulfur compound can be hydrogen sulfide.
