  • Publication number: 20200251186
Abstract: Systems and methods for generating and evaluating candidate sequences of partitioning steps to partition at least one biologically produced product from at least one impurity. In some embodiments, a plurality of candidate sequences of partitioning steps may be generated, wherein at least one candidate sequence of the plurality of candidate sequences comprises a plurality of partitioning steps in a specified order. The plurality of candidate sequences may be evaluated. For instance, a data set associated with the at least one partitioning step may be accessed, the data set comprising: first data indicative of a behavior of the at least one biologically produced product with respect to the at least one partitioning step; and second data indicative of a behavior of the at least one impurity with respect to the at least one partitioning step. The at least one candidate sequence may be scored based at least in part on the data set.

  • Patent number: 10733826
Abstract: A payment management system and a method of operating the same to receive payment before initiating an operating cycle of a cycle-based appliance is provided. The payment management system includes a payment device for receiving a non-cash payment from a user of the appliance. A payment processor communicates the payment to a controller of the appliance in the form of cycle credits, which may be stored in an encrypted credit storage bank. When a user attempts to initiate an operating cycle, the controller compares the available cycle credits to the number of required cycle credits, and only initiates the operating cycle if the number of available credits is equal to or exceeds the number of required credits. The payment management system may be included in any residential appliance and activated by the owner to enable pay-per-use functionality.

  • Patent number: 10599692
Abstract: An apparatus and method modify a saved query based on a change in a query value meaning that changes over time. In preferred embodiments a graphical query interface displays an option to adjust query values of a saved database query. A query adjustment mechanism then adjusts the value of the query to compensate for the change in the meaning of the query value since the query was created such that the adjusted query will have the same basic meaning as when the query was originally created. Preferred Embodiments allow the user to specify to adjust the query to the current date or to a specified date in the past.

  • Patent number: 10577739
Abstract: Systems and methods for predicting and preventing a cabinet strike event in a washing machine appliance are provided. An exemplary method includes ramping a target speed of a motor from a first speed to a second speed over a ramping period. The method includes computing an average deviation of an observed speed of the motor from the target speed over the ramping period. The method includes computing an average power consumption by the motor over the ramping period. The method includes determining whether both the average deviation is greater than a first threshold value and the average power consumption is greater than a second threshold value. The method includes rebalancing the load if both the average deviation is greater than a first threshold value and the average power consumption is greater than a second threshold value. The method includes performing one or more standard operations if both conditions are not satisfied.

  • Publication number: 20190339093
Abstract: According to one aspect, a computer implemented method associated with a weather advisor real-time notification for a vehicle is provided. The method includes receiving real-time weather data. The real-time weather data includes image-based weather data. The method also includes identifying a weather event based on pixel data associated with the image-based weather data. Binary masks having contours associated with the weather event are generated. The method further includes calculating a heading and speed of the weather event based on the binary masks. It is then determined whether the vehicle will intercept the weather event based on heading and speed of the weather event and route information of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10455882
Abstract: A method for providing a collision warning using an image capture device mounted on a rear portion of a helmet, including receiving a series of image frames and receiving spatial position data about the helmet from an inertial measurement unit. The spatial position data includes at least one of a roll angle, a yaw angle, and a pitch angle of the helmet. The method includes adjusting an orientation of the series of image frames based on the spatial position data. Thus, the orientation of the series of image frames is level with an orientation of the scene. The method includes identifying a target vehicle and calculating a speed of the target vehicle based on a rate of change of a position of the target vehicle. Further, the method includes controlling an output device and/or the motorcycle based on the speed of the target vehicle and the rate of change.

Abstract: Implementations described and claimed herein provided for a system for provisioning network resources. The system includes a network provisioning abstraction layer having an application interface for receiving network provisioning requests from applications and determine provisioning instructions for fulfilling the requests. Each of the received provisioning instructions is queued in a priority queuing system according to a request priority. The provisioning instructions for the highest priority requests are removed from the front of the queue and sent to a resource interface that relays the requests to the appropriate network resources.
