Patent number: 9857759Abstract: An imaging device includes a frame plate having an opening and first and second camming profiles about the opening. A removable fuser assembly includes a housing having front and back plates, a mounting shaft extending from the front plate to the back plate of the housing, a pin member on a first end of the mounting shaft having a pair of segments engaging with the first and second camming profiles on the frame plate, and a handle on a second end of the mounting shaft pivotable at a predetermined angle and moving the mounting shaft therewith. Pivoting the handle in a first direction causes the segments to travel along the camming profiles, locking the fuser assembly onto the imaging device. Pivoting the handle in a second direction causes the segments to align with the opening and the fuser assembly to be unlocked with the imaging device allowing removal thereof.Type: GrantFiled: October 26, 2016Date of Patent: January 2, 2018Assignee: LEXMARK INTERNATIONAL, INC.Inventors: Richard Gordon Boyatt, Gregory Daniel Creteau, Christopher Hayden Noffsinger, Donald Eugene Proffitt, Edward Alan Rush

Patent number: 9575453Abstract: A media path assembly in an imaging device includes a media guide positioned adjacent and transverse to a media path between a first and a second nip, and having a surface forming a bubble chamber across the media path. A bubble sensor and a narrow media sensor are positioned adjacent to the bubble chamber transverse to the media path and aligned with each other. The bubble sensor is operative to indicate formation in the bubble chamber of a bubble in a media sheet exiting the first nip. The narrow media sensor is operative to indicate media size of the media sheet and, when the media sheet is wide media, provide a balancing force to the media sheet relative to a force applied by the bubble sensor to the media sheet so that a leading edge of the media sheet substantially aligns with the second nip when entering the second nip.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 2016Date of Patent: February 21, 2017Assignee: Lexmark International, Inc.Inventors: Richard Gordon Boyatt, III, Jichang Cao, William Paul Cook, Edward Lawrence Kiely

Publication number: 20160296113Abstract: A device for determining an intraocular pressure of an eye is disclosed. The device comprises; (a) a housing; (b) a plunger axially movable within the housing, a first end of the plunger having a tip for contacting the eye; (c) an indicator arm operatively connected to a second end of the plunger; (d) a measurement gauge for indicating the intraocular pressure of the eye; and (e) a resilient biasing member for biasing the plunger towards an extended position in which the plunger tip protrudes beyond the housing and the indicator arm is biased towards a first position on the measurement gauge. Applying pressure to the eye via the plunger tip causes the intraocular pressure of the eye to exert an opposing force on the plunger tip causing the plunger to retract into the housing to cause a reciprocal movement of the indicator arm towards a second position thereby indicating the intraocular pressure of the eye on the measurement gauge.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 19, 2014Publication date: October 13, 2016Inventors: Richard Gordon Walmsley, David James Lockwood, Michael Andrew Coote

Patent number: 8704717Abstract: The satellite dish snow shield is an add-on device that is designed to fit most commercially produced satellite dish sizes and shapes, and self-aligns as it is installed. This snow shield is a solid curved hood-shaped barrier that attaches at the top of the satellite dish and extends out at a relatively perpendicular angle from the face of the satellite dish. In this way, the snow shield prevents snow build-up and signal disruption by catching and diverting failing snow before it reaches the face of the satellite dish. This satellite snow shield does not, in any way, shroud the actual face of the satellite dish (antenna). Snow falling on these shroud type devices can themselves collect snow in a way that will eventually cause signal loss. However, no matter how much snow accumulates on the snow shield, my device continues to allow for a clear and unobstructed satellite signal to reach the dish (antenna).Type: GrantFiled: April 17, 2011Date of Patent: April 22, 2014Inventor: Richard Gordon Kosnik
