  • Publication number: 20180338244
Abstract: This disclosure may prevent unauthorized modification of country code information stored in a wireless device including a high-level operating system (HLOS) and a radio subsystem including at least a first radio and a second radio. The first radio may receive first country code information from the HLOS, and may receive a message from the second radio. The message may include second country code information and a digital signature. The first radio may verify the message based on the digital signature, and may determine a validity of the first country code information based on a comparison with the second country code information. Transmission parameters of the wireless device may be configured using either the first or second country code information in response to the verifying.

  • Publication number: 20180152918
Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for transmitting, by a wireless device, wireless communication signals in the presence of one or more radar signals. For at least some embodiments, a wireless communication channel may be divided into a plurality of resource units. When a radar signal is detected within one or more of the resource units, wireless transmissions may be suppressed within those resource units. The resource units without radar signals may be used for wireless transmissions. In this manner, an entire wireless channel need not be vacated when a radar signal is detected, thereby preserving at least some communication bandwidth of the wireless communication channel.

  • Patent number: 9973969
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described for adaptive dwell time for scan procedures. A wireless station (STA) may identify a scan period during which a passive scan procedure is performed on a first channel. The STA may analyze a channel congestion metric during at least a portion of the scan period. The STA may transition from the passive scan procedure to an active scan procedure on the first channel during the scan period based at least in part on the analyzed channel congestion metric.

  • Publication number: 20170335638
Abstract: A stuffing box loosening device for loosening a locking collar securing a stuffing box to a well head. The device includes a rotatable clamping tool having a clamp securable to an external surface of the locking collar. The clamp prevents relative rotational movement between itself and the locking collar. A force-receiving body extends away from the clamp. A main frame has a mounting portion securable to the well head, and the mounting portion prevents relative rotational movement between the main frame and the well head. A force-supporting body is attached to the mounting portion. An actuator is mounted to the force-supporting body and in operation extends to displace a second end to engage the force-receiving body of the clamping tool and apply a force thereto. The force rotates the clamp to loosen the locking collar.
