Abstract: A database search method and system utilize user community defined facets and facet values for refining searches. The system provides access to a database having a plurality of records in respective categories of information. Each record has one or more facets to the respective category of information. The system enables user input of a search term formed of a first parameter indicative of at least one category of information of the database. In response to the user input, the invention system displays (a) a set of search results, including records from the database of the at least one category of information, and (b) a listing of facets and/or facet values of the records in the search results. The listing of facets and/or facet values serve as suggested additional parameters for further refining the search terms or guiding user navigation of the database.

Abstract: Systems, methods and computer readable media are disclosed for a trusted proxy to intercept communications between an untrusted computerized gaming system and an online multi-player gaming service that requires games to be trusted, allowing the untrusted computerized gaming system to use the multi-player gaming service. In addition to allowing the untrusted computerized gaming system to use the multi-player gaming service in general, the trusted proxy can also limit the extent of the interaction between the untrusted computerized gaming system and the multi-player gaming service.

Abstract: Systems, methods and computer readable media are disclosed for an overlaying requester to send graphics commands to a game connected to the overlaying requester via a dummy graphics application programming interface (API) object that the game will render over normal game-play graphics. In addition to allowing the overlaying requester to send graphics commands to the game in general, the dummy graphics API object can also limit the extent of the interaction between the overlaying requester and the computerized gaming system.

Abstract: Environmentally friendly compounds for corrosion inhibition and hydrocarbonaceous deposit removal and methods using such compounds are disclosed and claimed. The compounds are derivatives of heterocyclic bis-quaternary molecules having an amido moiety and are applicable to a variety of oil and gas operations.

Abstract: Disclosed are imidazoline-based foamers and corrosion inhibitors for treatment of oil and gas wells for enhanced production. The invention also includes methods of foaming a fluid by introducing the disclosed foamers to oil and gas wells.

Abstract: A swing-out workbench extension for a workbench includes a rectangular swinging platform and four swinging upright members having equal lengths and each pivotably connected at the lower ends thereof to the rectangular platform, two on each side thereof. The four swinging upright members are pivotably mounted on the underside of a bench top of a workbench so that the rectangular swinging platform is movable between a stored position hanging below the bench top and an upper extended position generally adjacent a bench top. The rectangular platform extends at all times in a generally horizontal plane whereby tools mounted on the rectangular swinging platform are retained thereon, and a latch is provided for releasably locking the rectangular swinging platform in the upper extended position.

Abstract: In a storage server on a storage area network, a media unit manager manages disk space in a manner transparent to the host computers. The media unit manager uses media units corresponding to the physical storage devices on the storage area network to build higher-level media units. The higher level media units can have the attributes of being sliced, concatenated, mirrored, striped, etc. Thus, the host computers need not be aware of the specific physical storage devices themselves, reducing the management and reconfiguration burden on the host computers when storage devices are added to or removed from the storage area network.

Abstract: A switching gesture display device for vehicles includes a main box and a shaft rotatably mounted in the main box with opposite ends extending through and outside the main box, the shaft being rotatable between an initial position and a rotated position. Two primary indicia displays are mounted on the opposite ends of the shaft, the two primary indicia displays being displayed in a generally upright position when the shaft is in the initial position, and two secondary indicia displays are mounted on the shaft generally adjacent the two primary indicia displays, the two secondary indicia displays being displayed in a generally upright position when the shaft is in the rotated position. A shaft rotation device rotates the shaft between the initial position and the rotated position to alternatively display the two primary indicia displays in the initial position and the two secondary indicia displays in the rotated position.

At least one counter balance assembly is provided to support the static weight of the first frames support and elements connected thereto. The counterbalance assembly includes a beam and a pivot assembly allowing the beam to pivot. A weight is selectively positionable on the beam. A compliant assembly is supported by the beam on a portion thereof on a side of the pivot assembly opposite the weight. The compliant assembly supports the first frame support. The compliant assembly includes a second pivot assembly and a planar motion assembly coupled to the second pivot assembly.
