  • Patent number: 10948963
Abstract: An integrated circuit comprises first and second power domains, and a message handling unit to control passing of messages sent from a sender device in the first power domain to a receiver device in the second power domain. The message handling unit writes messages sent from the sender device to a message storage area, provided in the second power domain. The message handling unit is responsive to a message send request from the sender device requesting sending of at least one message to the receiver device when at least one device in the second power domain is in a quiescent state, to transmit a wakeup request to a second domain power controller to request that said at least one device in the second power domain transitions from the quiescent state to an awake state.

  • Publication number: 20200393877
Abstract: An information handling system housing vents air at a grid of openings formed in a wall with a member extending outward from each intersection of the grid to define air channels. Each member terminates with a polished planar surface that reflects light against a flat underlying material. Variable angles of the polished planar surface relative to the plane of the wall creates a presentation of isolated reflections against the flat background that vary based upon a viewing angle of the housing wall.

  • Patent number: 10859702
Abstract: Systems described herein use outside-in positional tracking. A base station emits one or more rotational light beams to illuminate a local area. The rotational light beams rotate around a rotation axis and are used for positional tracking one or more objects in the local area. The one or more rotational light beams retroreflect from the one or more objects in the local area. The one or more objects include retroreflectors that retroreflect light beams incident on them. The base station detects the retroreflected light beams. The base station generates illumination data in response to the detected light beams. A system analyzes the illumination to determine an orientation and/or a location of an object.

  • Patent number: 10863647
Abstract: A mechanism for servicing a sled installed in a server includes a grip bar, and a four-bar linkage connected to the grip bar. The four-bar linkage has a first position that engages the sled to a chassis of the server, and a second position that disengages the sled from the chassis of the server. Movement of the grip bar moves the four-bar linkage from the first position to the second position, thus disengaging the sled from the chassis and allowing the sled to be removed from the chassis for service.

  • Patent number: 10860842
Abstract: A system includes at least two base stations that emit light beams to illuminate an area for positional tracking objects in the area. A base station emits at least two light beams that rotate around a rotation axis at a rotational speed unique to the base station. Responsive to being illuminated by the light beams emitted by the at least two base stations, an object being tracked generates illumination data. The system determines which illumination data corresponds to one of multiple base stations by analyzing the illumination data over time. The system analyzes the illumination data corresponding to one base station to determine an orientation and/or position of the object relative to that base station.

  • Publication number: 20200380545
Abstract: A merchant system offers various products for sale to users, with prices for different products received from a pricing server. The merchant system provides information identifying a user to a pricing server, which determines user-specific prices for the products offered by the merchant system. Prior purchases of products by various users via the merchant system and user-specific information maintained by the pricing server for the user corresponding to the user identifying information are used to generate the user-specific prices. The pricing server selects the user-specific price for a product as a candidate price having a maximum expected profit to the merchant system. Subsequently, the pricing server transmits to the merchant system a listing of products offered by the merchant system and their user-specific prices ordered by their expected profit to the merchant system. The merchant system displays the products to the user in the order received from the pricing server.
