  • Publication number: 20210287072
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for improving operational efficiency within a data center by modeling data center performance and predicting power usage efficiency. An example method receives a state input characterizing a current state of a data center. For each data center setting slate, the state input and the data center setting slate are processed through an ensemble of machine learning models. Each machine learning model is configured to receive and process the state input and the data center setting slate to generate an efficiency score that characterizes a predicted resource efficiency of the data center if the data center settings defined by the data center setting slate are adopted t. The method selects, based on the efficiency scores for the data center setting slates, new values for the data center settings.

  • Patent number: 11102619
Abstract: Various multiple methods of data transport, and combinations thereof, may be used to initialize or update conditional access information on various devices. In an integrated device having both a broadcast receiver, such as an SDARS receiver, and a two-way communications transceiver, such as an LTE, 3G, 4G or 5G modem, or the like, conditional access information for the broadcast receiver may be sent to the transceiver, and then passed to the broadcast receiver, or vice versa. Additionally, for example, the broadcast receiver may be sent, over the broadcast communications channel, a “wake-up” message for the two-way transceiver, which message may then be passed to the two-way transceiver, so as to make it ready to receive conditional access information over the two-way communications channel, or vice versa.

  • Patent number: 11004222
Abstract: A depth measurement assembly (DMA) includes a structured light emitter, an augmented camera, and a controller. The structured light emitter projects structured light into a local area under instructions from the controller. The augmented camera generates image data of an object illuminated with the structured light pattern projected by the structured light emitter in accordance with camera instructions generated by the controller. The augmented camera includes a high speed computation tracking sensor that comprises a plurality of augmented photodetectors. Each augmented photodetector converts light to data and stores the data in its own memory unit. The controller receives the image data and determines depth information of the object in the local area based in part on the image data. The depth measurement unit can be incorporated into a head-mounted display (HMD).

  • Publication number: 20210117722
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method for tracking includes capturing a first frame of the environment using a first camera, identifying, in the first frame, a first patch that corresponds to the first feature, accessing a first local memory of the first camera that stores reference patches identified in one or more previous frames captured by the first camera, and determining that none of the reference patches stored in the first local memory corresponds to the first feature. The method further includes receiving, from a second camera through a data link connecting the second camera with the first camera, a reference patch corresponding to the first feature. The reference patch is identified in a previous frame captured by the second camera and of the second camera. The method may then determine correspondence data between the first patch and the reference patch, and tracks the first feature in the environment based on the determined correspondence data.
