  • Publication number: 20220136923
Abstract: An improved sensor system is provided that monitors and controls a dendritic fluid system. A dendritic fluid system can include artificial components and/or natural components that carry fluid from a source to a destination through a series of paths. The sensor system can include magnetic field sensors, acoustic sensors, encapsulated sensor systems, pressure regulators, and valve controllers to monitor and control the dendritic fluid system. For example, magnetic field sensors, acoustic sensors, and/or pressure regulators can be used to measure the flow of fluid within a dendritic fluid subsystem and/or to detect potential leaks. The encapsulated sensor systems and/or valve controllers can be used to detect fluid levels in a contained system and control valves to adjust the fluid levels in the contained system to a desired level.

  • Publication number: 20220139034
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes instructing, at a first time, a camera having a plurality of pixel sensors to capture a first image of an environment comprising an object to determine a first object pose; determining, based on the first object pose, a predicted object pose of the object at a second time; generating pixel-activation instructions based on a buffer region around a projection of a 3D model of the object having the predicted object pose onto a virtual image plane associated with a predicted camera pose, where the size of the buffer region may be dependent on predicted dynamics for the object; instructing, at the second time, the camera to use a subset of the plurality of pixel sensors to capture a second image of the environment according to the pixel-activation instructions, and; determining, based on the second image, a second object pose of the object.

  • Publication number: 20220129048
Abstract: An information handling system bezel provides a dynamic visual effect with layers of patterns coupled to the information handling system housing that provide a dynamic visual effect for an end user as the end user viewing angle changes. For example, an outer layer of the bezel has a first pattern, such as parallel vent lines, an inner layer of the bezel has a second pattern, such as geometric shapes, and a middle layer has both the first and second patterns aligned with the outer and inner layers to provide the dynamic visual effect based upon viewing angle through the outer layer to the inner layer, such as with a contrasting color of the first and/or second patterns at the middle layer.

  • Publication number: 20220122285
Abstract: In one embodiment, a computing system accesses a set of 3D locations associated with features in an environment previously captured by a camera from a previous camera pose. The computing system determines a predicted camera pose using the previous camera pose and motion measurements generated using a motion sensor associated with the camera. The computing system projects the set of 3D locations toward the predicted camera pose and onto a 2D image plane associated with the camera. The computing system generates, based on the projected set of 3D locations on the 2D image plane, an activation map specifying a subset of the pixel sensors of the camera that are to be activated. The computing system instructs, using the activation map, the camera to activate the subset of pixel sensors to capture a new image of the environment. The computing system reads pixel values of the new image.

  • Publication number: 20220103883
Abstract: Techniques for broadcast in-home streaming are described. In some embodiments, the method is performed at a gateway device. The gateway device demultiplexes a broadcast stream to a plurality of streams, including a first stream and a second stream and anchors a first presentation time range of a first segment based on a random access point in the first stream and a first frame in the second stream. The gateway device also identifies one or more frames in the first stream based on presentation timestamps and decoding timestamps of a last frame in the first presentation time range and a first frame in a second presentation time range. The gateway device further captures frames from the second stream within the first presentation time range and generates the first segment having the first presentation time range, including the random access point, the one or more frames, the first frame, and the frames.

  • Patent number: 11280667
Abstract: A device is disclosed for measuring torsional vibrations superimposed on rotating equipment such as a shaft. The device may be fastened to a rotating shaft by a collar and includes a sensor array comprising two or more accelerometers measuring the radial acceleration of the sensor array and the tangential acceleration of the sensor array. The gravitational component of the accelerometer signals is identified either by isolation in one of the signals, or by comparing two or more signals. From the tangential and radial acceleration signals, a torsional vibration amplitude is calculated from the ratio of the tangential acceleration and the radial acceleration. The radial acceleration is further used to determine the average velocity of the sensor array. The tangential acceleration may further be integrated to obtain the angular velocity of the sensor array, or further integrated to obtain the angle rotated through.

  • Publication number: 20220083631
Abstract: A method includes a computing system associated with an AR device querying, based on a location of the AR device, a registry associated with a distributed map network for a first gateway address associated with a first gateway that provides access to a 3D street map in a physical region. The system downloads the 3D street map by connecting to the first gateway using the first gateway address. The system predicts that the AR device will enter a building in the physical region and queries the registry for a second gateway address associated with a second gateway. The system requests, using the second gateway address, access to the second gateway by providing user authentication information. The system downloads a 3D interior map associated with the building through the second gateway and localizes the AR device within the building using the 3D interior map after the AR device enters the building.

  • Patent number: 11272782
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for efficient and user-friendly transport of materials from a first substrate to a second substrate are described. Systems can include a first substrate vessel configured to hold a first substrate to be cleaned or extracted, a transport media delivery system in fluid communication with the first substrate vessel, and a catchment system. The transport media delivery system delivers a fluid transport medium, which may include a fluid in a supercritical phase, to the first substrate vessel. The fluid transport medium removes particles from the first substrate and carries the particles to the catchment system, where the particles can be exhausted to the atmosphere or deposited onto a second substrate such as a filter or disposal tray.

  • Patent number: 11243582
Abstract: An information handling system housing vents air at a grid of openings formed in a wall with a member extending outward from each intersection of the grid to define air channels. Each member terminates with a polished planar surface that reflects light against a flat underlying material. Variable angles of the polished planar surface relative to the plane of the wall creates a presentation of isolated reflections against the flat background that vary based upon a viewing angle of the housing wall.

  • Patent number: 11244504
Abstract: In one embodiment, a computing system accesses a plurality of images captured by one or more cameras from a plurality of camera poses. The computing system generates, using the plurality of images, a plurality of semantic segmentations comprising semantic information of one or more objects captured in the plurality of images. The computing system accesses a three-dimensional (3D) model of the one or more objects. The computing system determines, using the plurality of camera poses, a corresponding plurality of virtual camera poses relative to the 3D model of the one or more objects. The computing system generates a semantic 3D model by projecting the semantic information of the plurality of semantic segmentations towards the 3D model using the plurality of virtual camera poses.
