Abstract: The present invention significantly modifies “The Overflow Process”. It includes a method and apparatus for measuring glass flow rate and maintaining a constant glass flow rate. It also embodies design features and methods that support and stress the forming apparatus in a manner such that the deformation that results from thermal creep is corrected, thus minimizing the effect of the thermal creep on the thickness variation of the glass sheet. The present invention also embodies design features that change the process from a single step (combined flow distribution and cooling) to a two step process; step one being flow distribution and step two being cooling.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods and apparatus for diagnosis, detection of host response, monitoring, treatment or management of sepsis, infection-negative systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS) and post-surgical inflammation in mammals. More particularly, the present invention discloses marker genes and their splice variant transcripts as well as their expression products, which are useful for distinguishing between sepsis and infection-negative SIRS, including post-surgical inflammation, and to the use of these markers in grading, monitoring, treatment and management of these conditions.

Abstract: Methods, devices, and systems are disclosed for implementing a fully quantitative non-injectable contrast proton MRI technique to measure spatial ventilation-perfusion (VA/Q) matching and spatial distribution of ventilation and perfusion. In one aspect, a method using MRI to characterize ventilation and perfusion in a lung includes acquiring an MR image of the lung having MR data in a voxel and obtaining a breathing frequency parameter, determining a water density value, a specific ventilation value, and a perfusion value in at least one voxel of the MR image based on the MR data and using the water density value to determine an air content value, and determining a ventilation-perfusion ratio value that is the product of the specific ventilation value, the air content value, the inverse of the perfusion value, and the breathing frequency.

The basket of positions is defined by an intersection of a plurality of half-spaces determined based on a keep-out-zone associated with the resident-space-object, and a nominal position of the space-vehicle. The plurality of half-spaces defines a corresponding plurality of half-space boundary conditions within which the basket of positions is disposed. When a position of the space-vehicle is within the basket of positions at a time of a scheduled thruster-burn, then the scheduled thruster-burn is ensured to result in passive-safety.

Abstract: A graphical method of displaying interrelated blood pressure data that effectively communicates patient or group performance within or between discrete datasets. The graphical method displays Systolic Pressure (SP), Diastolic Pressure (DP), Pulse Pressure (PP), Mean Arterial Pressure (MAP) and the Classification of Blood Pressure as related to a single data point or a plurality of data points from a discrete dataset. Multiple datasets can be simultaneously displayed for comparison purposes allowing patients, physicians or scientists to understand the relative differences in dataset performance across a series of datasets.

Abstract: A system of prefabricated modular components, designed to fit and connect together using no tools other than human hands, allowing persons with little or no construction experience to assemble floored/partitioned/roofed structures of variable shape and surface area. Flooring panels are inserted and secured into flooring frames that have been inserted and secured into frame connectors. Flooring frames may be anchored into an outdoor installation surface for long term use. Certain configurations of the frame connector allow for the installation of variable height partition supports, as well as partition panels. A special configuration of the flooring frame allows for wheeled implement/conveyance access to the floored surface from the surrounding surface. A staged table corresponding to a primary table of the database is generated. The update record is processed to validate the update record to determine whether there is an error in the update record and to add the update record to the staged table.
