  • Publication number: 20060265982
Abstract: A wall system or structure includes a lintel supported wall and footings for locating the lintel above ground. Tensioning rods extend upwardly from each footing for directly engaging an end of the wall and for securing a post to the footing, which post includes a slot for engaging the vertical edge of the wall. A plate resting on each footing may be used to support an end of the lintel above ground. Tensioning rods extend vertically from within the lintel upwardly into the wall.

  • Publication number: 20060210788
Abstract: The present invention provides an improved syntactic foam plug for plug assist thermoforming wherein such plug is composed of a thermoplastic material having a relatively high melting and/or glass transition temperature. Accordingly, the subject invention encompasses diminishing or removing the undesirable characteristics of thermoset syntactic plugs while increasing the ease by which these articles may be constructed for a given use, by forming such plugs from syntactic foams containing thermoplastics.

  • Publication number: 20060160435
Abstract: A connecting system which allows a standard rigging fixture to be connected to a synthetic cable termination by swaging. The cable termination is provided with a swaging sleeve. When the standard rigging fixture is placed next to the termination, this swaging sleeve is swaged over a portion of the standard rigging fixture in order to lock the standard rigging fixture to the termination. The provision of the swaging sleeve on the termination is accomplished using a variety of approaches, including forming the swaging sleeve as part of an anchor, providing a separate swaging sleeve attached by threads, and forming the anchor and swaging sleeve with two separate swaging operations.

  • Publication number: 20060160444
Abstract: An automatic inflation device is provided which features a trigger and release system for use in an armed-static condition and which is advantageous in that it significantly reduces the force acting on a dissolvable tablet in the release mechanism and thereby extends the operating life of the automatic inflation device in the presence of high humidity. The device preferably operates using a male and female housing with a manifold to allow expanding gas to escape and a compressed concentric spring encompassing a CO2 cylinder subassembly, and the triggering sequence includes a degradable element which triggers the inflation device upon losing its structural integrity, which causes an extending spring to drive the CO2 cylinder toward a puncture pin.

  • Patent number: 7056145
Abstract: A plug securing device that allows improved retention of an electrical cord in an electrical outlet. The plug securing device consists of a replacement electrical outlet cover, and a plug securing device. The plug from a power cord is placed through a slot in the plug securing device, and the plug and plug securing device is placed into the outlet and the replacement electrical outlet cover. The plug securing device is removed and the plug disconnected from the outlet when the user pressed the plug securing device into the replacement electrical cover and presses in on the sides of the plug securing device. The invention allows for a child and or paint cover that engages in the electrical cover and covers the entire electrical outlet and replacement electrical outlet cover.

  • Publication number: 20060096089
Abstract: A method of applying a jacket of varying thickness around the exterior of a cable in order to make the cable's diameter both standard and uniform. In this context, “uniform” means devoid of fluctuations. “Standard” means conforming to a predetermined anchor size. The number of anchors needed to cover a range of cable diameters and types may thereby be greatly reduced.

  • Publication number: 20060062525
Abstract: Cable terminations having features which reduce stress in the transition between the potted region and the freely flexing region of a cable when the cable flexes laterally with respect to the anchor. Several favorable geometries are disclosed. The use of a supplemental buffer material to reduce stress is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20060004563
Abstract: A method or module for creating an Language Neutral Syntax (LNS) representation of a sentence from a language particular syntax representation such as found in the Penn Treebank for use by different applications. The method or module includes a node generator configured to create hierarchical and dependent nodes using phrasal and constituent nodes of the language particular syntax. A node dependency generator is configured to create an unordered hierarchical dependency structure for the hierarchical and dependent nodes using a semantic relation between the hierarchical and dependent nodes derived from the language particular syntax.
