  • Patent number: 11061883
Abstract: A messaging system automatically populates a stream of messages using only a seed selected by the requesting account holder. In one embodiment, the seed includes the streams of one or more of the “top” accounts of the messaging system. Here, “top” is according to any one of a number of different metrics stored in the messaging system. With knowledge of the seed, the messaging system automatically populates a stream for the requesting account holder, without requiring any other input. As a result, an account holder is provided with a fully functioning stream with very little effort or knowledge required on their part.

  • Patent number: 11057457
Abstract: Images of key phrases or hashtags appear on televised feeds. Image processing techniques, such as feature locating algorithms or character recognition algorithms, can be used to locate the images of key phrases in the images. Then, character recognition algorithms can be used to generate a list of candidate key phrases for the key phrase in image format. However, identification of the key phrase in image format is not completely accurate with conventional methods. Social media content items associated with the televised feed are used to filter the list of candidate key phrases. Using known information about the televised feed as well as about key phrases in text format in the social media content items, candidate key phrases in the list of candidate key phrases can be scored and, thus, a final candidate key phrase selected based on the scores.

  • Publication number: 20210147292
Abstract: It has been unexpectedly discovered that the addition of a natural or other pozzolan to non-spec coal ash significantly improves the properties of the non-spec coal ash to the extent it can be certified under ASTM C618 and AASHTO 295, as either a Class F or Class C coal ash. The natural pozzolan may be a volcanic ejecta, such as pumice or perlite. Other pozzolans may also be used for this beneficiation process. Many pozzolans are experimentally tested and may be used to beneficiate non-spec coal ash into certifiable Class F coal ash. Additionally, this disclosure provides a method of converting a Class C coal ash to a more valuable Class F coal ash. This discovery will extend diminishing Class F coal ash supplies and turn non-spec coal ash waste streams into valuable, certified coal ash pozzolan which will protect and enhance concrete, mortars and grouts.

  • Patent number: 10997102
Abstract: Techniques for data manipulation using processor cluster address generation are disclosed. One or more processor clusters capable of executing software-initiated work requests are accessed. A direct memory access (DMA) engine, coupled to the one or more processor clusters, is configured, wherein the DMA engine employs address generation across a plurality of tensor dimensions. A work request address field is parsed, where the address field contains unique address space descriptors for each of the plurality of dimensions, along with a common address space descriptor. DMA addresses are generated based on the unique address space descriptors and the common address space descriptor. Memory using two or more of the DMA addresses that were generated is accessed, where the two or more DMA addresses enable processing within the one or more processor clusters.

  • Publication number: 20210100488
Abstract: The disclosure provides methods for determining a wellness metric for a user. A physiological condition of the user is measured during a number of time intervals using at least one biosensor to acquire a measured signal and the measured signal is transferred to a processing unit. Inputs from the user regarding emotional state and activity can be requested and an emotional state input and an activity input are recorded into a memory unit. The measured signal and the activity input are analyzed to generate a stress value and the emotional state input is analyzed to generate a mood value. The wellness metric for the user is determined based on the stress value and the mood value and a recommendation is provided to the user of activities for improving the wellness metric.

  • Publication number: 20210097414
Abstract: A classification system includes a processor and a memory that stores an initial dataset, an analyzed dataset, a model rules database, and instructions. The instructions, in response to receiving first interaction data corresponding to a first interaction, store the first interaction data in the initial dataset as a first entry. The instructions include, at a predetermined time, selecting a set of entries from the initial dataset including the first entry and obtaining a set of analysis rules from the model rules database. The instructions include, for each selected set of entries, calculating an additional parameter based on the obtained set of analysis rules and generating a first analyzed dataset corresponding to the obtained set of analysis rules. The instructions include storing the first analyzed dataset and providing the first analyzed dataset to determine a recommendation using the first analyzed dataset and displaying the recommendation on a user interface.

  • Publication number: 20210011849
Abstract: Techniques for data manipulation using processor cluster address generation are disclosed. One or more processor clusters capable of executing software-initiated work requests are accessed. A plurality of dimensions from a tensor is flattened into a single dimension. A work request address field is parsed, where the address field contains unique address space descriptors for each of the plurality of dimensions, along with a common address space descriptor. A direct memory access (DMA) engine coupled to the one or more processor clusters is configured. Addresses are generated based on the unique address space descriptors and the common address space descriptor. The plurality of dimensions can be summed to generate a single address. Memory is accessed using two or more of the addresses that were generated. The addresses are used to enable DMA access.

  • Patent number: 10880025
Abstract: A real time messaging platform identifies an audio snippet of a time-based media (TBM) event. The messaging platform maintains a real time repository of concurrently broadcasting TBM events as well as a historical repository of previously broadcast TBM events. These repositories contain acoustic fingerprints of their respective TBM events. The messaging platform matches an acoustic fingerprint of the audio snippet with one of the stored acoustic fingerprints to identify the TBM event in the recorded snippet. To identify the TBM event, the messaging platform matches multiple overlapping reference audio segments of the reference audio stream with multiple test audio segments of the audio snippet. This allows the platform to account for time delays between the test and reference audio segments that would otherwise hinder the matching process.

  • Patent number: 10752749
Abstract: In some variations, this disclosure provides a surface-modified hydrophobic clay composition for an ink formulation, the composition comprising up to 99 wt % clay particles with a particle-size distribution characterized in that at least 10% are smaller than 0.2 microns, at least 25% are smaller than 0.5 microns, and at least 95% are less than 5 microns; and from about 1 wt % to about 10 wt % of one or more organic compounds selected from quaternary ammonium compounds, organic acids, fatty acids, organic silanes, or organic polysilanes. The surface-modified hydrophobic clay composition may be produced by various methods, including a slurry method or a dry-mixing method. Ink clay loadings in heatset ink formulations may be increased to 10-15% without losing ink gloss. Inks may be produced with lower solvent, resin, and/or pigment concentrations, thereby reducing cost.

  • Publication number: 20200197733
Abstract: A mobile fire protection system comprises a first radiation detector for detecting radiation emitted by a flame in a monitoring region. A container holds fire suppression agent, the container being in selective fluid flow communication via a passage with an outlet for discharging the fire suppression agent. A mobile support structure carries the container. A valve is selectively movable between a closed state, wherein the fire suppression agent remains captive within the container, and an open state, wherein flow of the fire suppression agent from the container towards the outlet is enabled. A controller is configured, responsive to the first radiation detector detecting radiation emitted by the flame in the monitoring region, to cause the valve to move to the open state to discharge the fire suppression agent via the passage and the outlet towards the flame.
