  • Patent number: 10350073
Abstract: A modular variable blade augment including an augment component and a blade component. The blade component includes a buttress portion and a neck portion, with the neck portion having a body segment and a face segment that is contoured for mating engagement with an outer surface of the acetabular shell. The augment component has a first opening sized and shaped to receive insertion of the body segment, and which is also sized to accommodate selective adjustment of linear and angular orientations of the blade component relative to the augment component when the body segment is positioned in the first opening. Additionally, the body segment has a length that is sized to facilitate direct contact of the face segment with the acetabular shell when the modular variable blade augment is in an assembled configuration. Further, cement can be injected into the internal cavity to unitize the connection between the acetabular shell and the blade component.

  • Patent number: 10326829
Abstract: Images of key phrases or hashtags appear on televised feeds. Image processing techniques, such as feature locating algorithms or character recognition algorithms, can be used to locate the images of key phrases in the images. Then, character recognition algorithms can be used to generate a list of candidate key phrases for the key phrase in image format. However, identification of the key phrase in image format is not completely accurate with conventional methods. Social media content items associated with the televised feed are used to filter the list of candidate key phrases. Using known information about the televised feed as well as about key phrases in text format in the social media content items, candidate key phrases in the list of candidate key phrases can be scored and, thus, a final candidate key phrase selected based on the scores.

  • Publication number: 20190180048
Abstract: Provided herein are systems and methods for classifying content to prevent data breach or exfiltration. An entity engine may receive content for classification into a content type for preventing data breach or exfiltration. The entity engine may determine that secondary data, defined by an operand of an entity definition, is present in the content. Each entity definition may correspond to one content type and may include a Boolean expression of operands. Each operand may include a matching element to be used for matching against content undergoing classification into one of the content types, upon secondary data defined by the operand being present in the content. The entity engine may classify the content into a content type of the content types, corresponding to the entity definition, based on matching the matching element of the operand to the content, and matching other operands of the entity definition to the content.

  • Publication number: 20190180049
Abstract: Provided herein are systems and methods for identifying personal identifiers in content. An entity engine may receive content to identify candidate personal identifiers. The entity engine may determine that a text string in the content matches to a data format specified in entity definitions corresponding to types of personal identifiers and a rule for finding a geographic or linguistic term in the content correlated to the specific type of personal identifier. Each entity definition may specify a data format for finding a specific type of personal identifier in content. The data format corresponds to a type of personal identifier. The entity engine may identify, according to a rule of the first entity definition, a geographic or linguistic term in the content correlated to the type of personal identifier. The entity engine may classify the text string as the type of personal identifier, for preventing data breach or exfiltration.

  • Patent number: 10302642
Abstract: Methods and systems for measuring the concentration of LAL-reactive substances in fluid samples is provided. They include contacting an aqueous sample with a detection reagent to form a prepared sample. A physical property of the prepared sample may be measured to obtain at least one sample measurement characteristic of the prepared sample. Curve fitting may then be used to forecast a concentration of the LAL-reactive substance the aqueous sample will have at a specified time in the future based on the sample measurement and a correlation developed between at least one standard measurement of a physical quality of a solution with a known concentration of a LAL-reactive substance therein. The quality of the sample measurement may be validated using historical data and/or the standard measurement.

  • Patent number: 10282896
Abstract: A method for zone analysis. A zone is identified in a three-dimensional physical model of a vehicle. The three-dimensional physical model includes geometry information and location information for physical components. An effect of an undesired operation of a group of components in a zone within the three-dimensional physical model of the vehicle is identified based on the three-dimensional physical model of the vehicle and a logical model of the vehicle including a logical architecture linking logical components to each other. Logical components in the logical model are mapped to the physical components in the three-dimensional physical model of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20190126596
Abstract: Thermal insulation structures include a polymer foam layer adhered to a non-cellular sheet of a polylactide resin. The polylactide resin is a surprisingly good barrier to the diffusion of atmospheric gases into and blowing agents out of the foam layer. Accordingly, the diffusion of atmospheric gases and the blowing agents is retarded substantially. This greatly reduces the loss of thermal insulation capacity of the structure due to the replacement of the blowing agent with atmospheric gases.

  • Publication number: 20190077708
Abstract: It has been unexpectedly discovered that the addition of ground-granulated blast-furnace slag to non-spec fly ash significantly improves the properties of the non-spec fly ash to the extent it can be certified under ASTM C618 and AASHTO 295, as either a Class F or Class C fly ash. Other pozzolans may also be used for this beneficiation process. Many pozzolans are experimentally tested and may be used to beneficiate non-spec fly ash into certifiable Class F fly ash. Additionally, this disclosure provides a method of converting a Class C fly ash to a more valuable Class F fly ash. This discovery will extend diminishing Class F fly ash supplies and turn non-spec fly ash waste streams into valuable, certified fly ash pozzolan which will protect and enhance concrete, mortars and grouts.

  • Publication number: 20190079209
Abstract: A method of analyzing well log data from multiple wells intersecting thinly bedded laminated oil and gas reservoirs to quantify the presence and volume of hydrocarbons. The method is applicable for mature fields which are under review to detect hydrocarbons which have been by-passed during earlier field developments. It uses conventional resistivity measurements to detect electrical anisotropy in each formation based on changes in log response from well to well owing to each well intersecting the formation at varying degrees of relative dip. The processing technique produces horizontal and vertical resistivity curves which are then input to interpretation techniques which have previously been developed to interpret data from multi-component (tri-axial) induction logging tools.

  • Publication number: 20180359042
Abstract: A real time messaging platform identifies an audio snippet of a time-based media (TBM) event. The messaging platform maintains a real time repository of concurrently broadcasting TBM events as well as a historical repository of previously broadcast TBM events. These repositories contain acoustic fingerprints of their respective TBM events. The messaging platform matches an acoustic fingerprint of the audio snippet with one of the stored acoustic fingerprints to identify the TBM event in the recorded snippet. To identify the TBM event, the messaging platform matches multiple overlapping reference audio segments of the reference audio stream with multiple test audio segments of the audio snippet. This allows the platform to account for time delays between the test and reference audio segments that would otherwise hinder the matching process.

  • Publication number: 20180357265
Abstract: A messaging system automatically populates a stream of messages using only a seed selected by the requesting account holder. In one embodiment, the seed includes the streams of one or more of the “top” accounts of the messaging system. Here, “top” is according to any one of a number of different metrics stored in the messaging system. With knowledge of the seed, the messaging system automatically populates a stream for the requesting account holder, without requiring any other input. As a result, an account holder is provided with a fully functioning stream with very little effort or knowledge required on their part.
