  • Patent number: 9872219
Abstract: Methods and access devices for collecting data from sensors of a wireless sensor network include transmitting a broadcast signal by a master device which currently collects the data and detected by other access devices. Handover of data collection control from the current master access device to an alternate access device is initiated based on a result of the detection. A handover request signal is received at the master device and a handover reply is signaled to a source device of the handover request signal. The handover reply indicates the time at which data collection is handed over from the current master access device to the source device. Thereby, the master device can be changed in a flexible manner based on current environmental conditions.

  • Patent number: 9849638
Abstract: A method of and apparatus for fluffing a cleaning article. The cleaning article has a layer of tow fibers and a layer of sheet material, joined together in a layered construction. The apparatus and process spray a fluid blast onto the article, disrupting the tow fibers. The fluid may be air and causes different fibers to react so as to increase the volume of the cleaning article.

  • Patent number: 9817686
Abstract: A system includes a first computing device comprising a virtual machine (VM), a second computing device, and a third computing device coupled to the first and second computing devices. The third computing device includes a management module configured to migrate the VM from the first computing device to the second computing device. The management module is also configured to create a first signature of data associated with the VM stored by the first computing device over a first period of time and create a second signature of data associated with the VM stored by the first computing device over a second period of time. The management module is further configured to compare the first signature and the second signature throughout the migration process to determine whether the data has been altered and generate an alert when a difference between the first signature and the second signature is detected.

  • Patent number: 9781377
Abstract: A method for recording media content based on media content fingerprints is described. A media device records content received in a content stream from a scheduled start time of a media content to a scheduled end time of the media content to create a content recording. The media device derives one or more fingerprints from the content recording. A fingerprint database is queried with the one or more fingerprints to determine that a first portion of the content recording comprises an advertisement and a second portion of the content recording comprises the media content. In response to a request to play the content recording, starting playback of the content recording at the beginning of the second portion of the content recording.
