  • Patent number: 10850408
Abstract: A shaving apparatus has at least one cutting unit detachably coupled to a drive mechanism via a coupling having first and second coupling members. The second coupling member has a coupling cavity. A coupling head of the first coupling member is in a form-locking engagement in the coupling cavity to transfer a driving force, and is detachable from the coupling cavity by movement in an axial direction parallel to an axis of rotation of the cutting unit. The second coupling member has a plurality of recesses, each recess extending in a radial direction from the coupling cavity and being delimited by two radially extending side wall sections. Each of the two radially extending side wall sections forms an edge with a bottom surface of the second coupling member, and the edges of each recess converge in a radially outward direction in relation to the axis of rotation.

  • Patent number: 10621419
Abstract: A method and system for increasing biometric acceptance rates is provided. The invention creates numerous enrollment reference images so that when an individual presents them self to a biometric sensor, the individual's live image is compared to numerous enrollment reference images which establish a very high matching threshold score and at least one reference image which exceeds the matching threshold for an individual. Since the acceptance threshold is set very high, around 0.98 the chances that a false accept occurs is significantly reduced. By selecting numerous different reference photographs of the enrolled candidate, there's a greater possibility of a very high score match to the live scan. As you increase the number of biometric enrollment reference photos, you increase the probability of the live scan achieving a very high match against the enrollment reference photos. The enrollment reference photos may be visualized as a shotgun distribution on a graph.

  • Publication number: 20190345639
Abstract: Small diameter poly(phenylene ether) fibers can be consistently formed from a composition comprising specific amounts of a poly(phenylene ether), a processing aid, and optionally a poly(alkenyl aromatic). The processing aid can be LLDPE, a petroleum resin, or combinations thereof. The processing aid can optionally further comprise a phosphite or phosphonate. Flame retardants are minimized or excluded from the composition. The fibers can be melt spun without entanglement or breakage, and this improved processability enables small diameter fibers to be formed. The resulting fibers can be used in reinforcing structures for printed circuit boards.
