  • Patent number: 7816814
Abstract: A bi-directional power converter for cryogenic operation based on a bi-directional cryo-MOSFET switch. Cryogenic power electronics lends itself easily to bi-directional topologies, and brings higher efficiencies, further reductions in switching speed, higher-frequency operation, reduction in size and weight of associated transformers and inductors, and reductions in overall size and weight. In addition, cryogenic power electronics operating around liquid nitrogen temperatures is easily integrated with superconducting motors, motor drives, and transformers, all of which can reduce size and weight of shipboard power systems, allowing for greater payload.

  • Publication number: 20100229082
Abstract: Disclosed are a system, method, and article of manufacture of a dynamic context-data tag cloud. A context data from a context-enriched message is acquired. A context-data tag that corresponds to the context data is generated. A context-data tag cloud comprising at least one context-data tag is provided. A mobile device that generated the context-enriched message for an updated context data may be queried. A depiction value of the context data may be updated according to an updated context-data value. The context-data tag cloud may include a visual cue of an attribute of the context data.

  • Publication number: 20100228235
Abstract: The surgical instrument includes a distal tool, an elongated shaft that supports the distal tool, and a proximal handle or control member, where the tool and the handle are coupled to the respective distal and proximal ends of the elongated shaft via distal and proximal bendable motion members. Actuation means extends between said distal and proximal members whereby any deflection of said control handle with respect to said elongated instrument shaft causes a corresponding bending of said distal motion member for control of said working member. The proximal bendable member comprises a ball and socket assembly supported between the handle and instrument shaft and constructed and arranged for three dimensional motion.
