  • Publication number: 20090169650
Abstract: The present invention relates to the improvement of food items through the increased utilization of plant-derived stearidonic acid. Many long chain fatty acids have been classified as being Omega 3 and have been shown to provide several health benefits, including heart health. According to the current invention plant-derived stearidonic acid (18:4?3) has been incorporated into a wide range of food products by using either oil or flour processed from soybeans with enhanced levels of stearidonic acid. These foods range from oil-based products (salad dressing, mayonnaise) to dairy products (milk, cheese) to prepared foods (entrees, side dishes). In addition to improved health benefits the current invention provides food rich in Omega-3 fatty acids that have enhanced storage and/or shelf life characteristics.

  • Publication number: 20090172630
Abstract: A system for generating processor hardware supports a language for significant extensions to the processor instruction set, where the designer specifies only the semantics of the new instructions and the system generates other logic. The extension language provides for the addition of processor state, including register files, and instructions that operate on that state. The language also provides for new data types to be added to the compiler to represent the state added. It allows separate specification of reference semantics and instruction implementation, and uses this to automate design verification. In addition, the system generates formatted instruction set documentation from the language specification.

Abstract: A hand-held dispenser for dispensing a pharmaceutical product is disclosed. The dispenser has a housing providing a duct. A frangible membrane is provided in the duct. A probe with a piercing tip is mounted in the duct and arranged such that, in use the piercing tip pierces the frangible membrane. An air compression device is provided to compress air for expelling a pharmaceutical product through the probe and a channel is provided to substantially equalise the pressure in the air compression device and the pressure above the frangible membrane. The ability to substantially equalise the pressure in the bellows and the pressure above the frangible membrane on the sheath provides for a mote consistent release of pharmaceutical product when the frangible membrane is pierced.

  • Publication number: 20090168503
Abstract: A phase change memory may be organized with a global word line coupled to a plurality of blocks, each with a plurality of phase change memory cells arranged in rows and columns. Thus, one global word line may be common to a plurality of blocks. The global word line may be coupled to a word line decoder that is responsible for pulling the word line to ground. Each of the blocks, on the other hand, is coupled to a bitline selector through a bitline. Each block may have its own local word line coupled to the global word line. In some cases, this architecture reduces the minimum capacity of the memory.
