  • Patent number: 11025568
Abstract: Generation of customized response messages is described. According to the method, an incoming communication request is received and a relationship between an initiator of the communication request and a recipient of the communication request is determined. Based on a number of calendars for the recipient, an availability of the recipient is determined. When the recipient is unavailable, a customized response message is generated. The customized response message 1) is based on the relationship between the initiator and the recipient and 2) indicates an estimated response time for the recipient based on the availability of the recipient.

  • Patent number: 11022029
Abstract: Cross-port air flow that improves engine fuel economy and reduces pumping losses during part-throttle operation can be implemented in various types of internal combustion engine systems using ports that interconnect the intake ports of different cylinders, thus allowing different cylinders to share combustion air. Cross-port air flow is commenced during part-throttle engine operation to disrupt the primary combustion air flow from each throttle to its associated cylinder, which reduces charge density and engine power. The engine compensates for the reduced power by incrementally opening the throttles, thus increasing the primary combustion air flow, reducing pumping losses and improving fuel economy.

  • Patent number: 11023317
Abstract: An apparatus includes an error correction component coupled to read recovery control circuitry. The error correction component can be configured to perform one or more initial error correction operations on codewords contained within a managed unit received thereto. The read recovery control circuitry can be configured to receive the error corrected codewords from the error correction component and determine whether codewords among the error corrected codewords contain an uncorrectable error. The read recovery control circuitry can be further configured to determine that a redundant array of independent disks (RAID) codeword included in the plurality of error corrected codewords contains the uncorrectable error, request that codewords among the error corrected codewords that contain the uncorrectable error are rewritten in response to the determination, and cause the plurality of error corrected codewords to be transferred to a host coupleable to the read recovery control circuitry.
