  • Publication number: 20240048839
Abstract: Introduced here are surveillance systems and associated approaches for obfuscating biometric identifiers generated by, or available to, those surveillance systems for privacy reasons. In the event that a surveillance system generates a biometric identifier (e.g., by imaging a face of a person entering the premises of an organization), caution must be taken to only share the biometric identifier with individuals as necessary for security reasons. The approaches introduced here allow the privacy of persons being surveilled to be protected. Specifically, a computer program may selectively apply blurring as an impermanent mask to obfuscate each face in a digital image. This approach limits “reidentification” of a given person to those scenarios where her identity must be determined.

  • Patent number: 11894262
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for forming integrated circuit structures having a plurality of non-planar transistors. An insulation structure is provided between channel, source, and drain regions of neighboring fins. The insulation structure is formed during back side processing, wherein at least a first portion of the isolation material between adjacent fins is recessed to expose a sub-channel portion of the semiconductor fins. A spacer material is then deposited at least on the exposed opposing sidewalls of the exposed sub-channel portion of each fin. The isolation material is then further recessed to form an air gap between gate, source, and drain regions of neighboring fins. The air gap electrically isolates the source/drain regions of one fin from the source/drain regions of an adjacent fin, and likewise isolates the gate region of the one fin from the gate region of the adjacent fin. The air gap can be filled with a dielectric material.

  • Publication number: 20240038857
Abstract: Solid assemblies having a composite dielectric spacer and processes for fabricating the solid assemblies are provided. The composite dielectric spacer can include, in some embodiments, a first dielectric layer and a second dielectric layer having a mutual interface. The composite dielectric spacer can separate a contact member from a conductive interconnect member, thus reducing the capacitance between such members with respect to solid assemblies that include one of first dielectric layer or the second dielectric layer. The composite dielectric spacer can permit maintaining the real estate of an interface between the conductive interconnect and a trench contact member that has an interface with a carrier-doped epitaxial layer embodying or constituting a source contact region or a drain contact region of a field effect transistor. The trench contact member can form another interface with the conductive interconnect member, providing a satisfactory contact resistance therebetween.

  • Publication number: 20240028957
Abstract: This disclosure relates to methods and systems for high resolution and scalable crop yield forecasting by first developing a first crop yield forecasting model to generate coarse resolution yield maps and further dynamically selecting a set of pixels from the coarse resolution yield maps. The coarse resolution yield maps, satellite, weather and soil related data are fed as input to a second crop yield forecasting to generate high resolution crop yield forecasting maps. Further, domain knowledge about crop growth stages, economically important crop growth stages and weather based triggers are identified to quantify extent of change in crop yield. This helps in crop yield forecasting during real time adverse weather conditions. Finally, an adjusted crop yield model is obtained after adjusting losses incurred due to the real time adverse weather conditions to obtain accurate high resolution crop yield forecasting maps. The method of present disclosure is inexpensive, light-weight, and scalable.

  • Patent number: 11879939
Abstract: An integrated circuit (IC) includes a clocking system that generates first and second clock signals and a clock enable signal, and a testing system that tests the clocking system. During a capture phase of an at-speed testing mode of the IC, the second clock signal is a gated version of the first clock signal and includes two clock pulses. The testing system determines a first count of clock pulses of the first clock signal between an activation of the capture phase and an assertion of the clock enable signal. Similarly, the testing system determines a second count of clock pulses of the first clock signal between the two clock pulses of the second clock signal. The testing system then compares the first count with a first reference value and the second count with a second reference value to detect a fault in the clocking system.
