  • Patent number: 9386277
Abstract: A first video conferencing device determines pane sizes of a plurality of video content to be displayed at a second video conferencing device, where the pane sizes are determined based on a minimum video pane size of the second video conferencing device. The first video conferencing device then transmits, to the second video conferencing device, a video stream including at least a subset of the plurality of the video content with the determined pane sizes. The determined pane sizes are equal to or greater than the minimum video pane size.

  • Publication number: 20160099962
Abstract: Techniques for monitoring site security are disclosed herein. Sites are scanned for security metric values associated with one or more security metrics. Normalized values for those scanned security metric values are calculated based on previously obtained values associated with one or more other security metrics associated with other scanned sites. Site security metrics are then calculated for the sites based on a subset of the normalized values and based at least in part on a comparison to other scanned sites.

  • Patent number: 9304704
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for enabling communication between a SAS communication port of a SAS communication component and multiple storage devices. In a first example, a first SAS to SATA bridge chip and a second SAS to SATA bridge chip may be configured to route data from a SAS communication component to multiple storage devices. In a second example, a SAS to SATA bridge chip and a port multiplier may be configured to route data from a SAS communication component to multiple storage devices. In a third example, a four port SAS to SATA bridge comprising two SAS ports and two SATA ports may be configured to route data from a SAS communication component to multiple storage devices. Supporting two or more storage devices with a single SAS communication port allows storage enclosures to increase storage capacity, while decreasing cost per slot.

  • Patent number: 9305174
Abstract: A clipboard in an electronic system protects sensitive data by copying data into a clipboard of an electronic system as an entry and selectively blocking access to the sensitive data. An entry protect status is associated with a clipboard entry that is arranged to store copied data that is sensitive. The entry protect status is changed to indicate the entry protect status is set to block access to the copied data. Access to the copied data for which the entry protect status has been changed is selectively blocked.

  • Publication number: 20160018006
Abstract: A lightweight butterfly valve having a disk maintained in a fixed position on a compound shaft through an interlocking relation ship between each of the individual shafts of the compound shaft and the disk as the disk is moveable between an open or closed position with the butterfly valve may having other features such as an electric drive to quickly rotate the compound shaft to provide for rapid opening and closing the butterfly valve, a disk position indicator and a shaft stop to prevent the disk from being driven past a full open condition.

  • Patent number: 9166951
Abstract: Strict transport security controls are arranged to detect a first navigation command of a network-enabled application to navigate from a secure connection established with a first network address and to navigate to a second network address using an unsecure reference. A filter is used to filter, in response to the detection of the first navigation command, referring information in a second navigation command used to establish a second address secure connection with a device having the second network address. The strict transport security controls service is optionally arranged to provide a warning signal upon detecting formation of the second navigation command.

  • Publication number: 20150259668
Abstract: A composition useful for cell capture, the composition comprising a solid substrate on which is affixed a patterned polymer, and a cell-targeting agent attached to said patterned polymer, wherein said cell-targeting agent is exposed. Also described is a method for the preparation of the cell capturing composition, as well as flow through devices in which the cell capturing composition is incorporated. Further described is a method of capturing cells by contacting the cell-capturing composition with a liquid or gaseous sample containing cells. The method for capturing cells may also be a method for testing for the presence of one or more classes or species of cells or cellular organisms in a liquid or gaseous sample.

  • Patent number: 8856325
Abstract: A network element failure detector provides a fallback mechanism when external resources fail to load. For example, a “contingency” tag allows a consumer to load local resources when third party resources specified by a webpage developed by a service provider fail to load. Thus, the webpage developer can specify the functionality of a webpage when the referenced third party external resource fails to load. The consumer can also alert the service provider and/or the third party of the failure to load the referenced third party external resource.

  • Patent number: 8839424
Abstract: A cross-site request forgeries (CSRF) protection system helps protect against cross-site request forgeries attacks. A CSRF protector is arranged to receive a signal from a service provider that notifies a browser running on a potential victim consumer machine to selectively permit and/or deny cross-site requests in accordance with a set of one or more security policies. The policies can be selected and applied on a domain name basis, IP address basis, trusted zone basis, and combinations thereof. The CSRF protector can also provide a context of the event that triggers a request that contains a cross-site request, where the context provides indicia of circumstances that indicate a likelihood of a cross-site request forgery is being attempted.
