  • Patent number: 8535484
Abstract: A structure for use in industrial fabrics such as paper machine clothing and engineered fabrics is disclosed. The structure includes one or more layers of an elastic nonwoven extruded film or sheet, which is elastic, resilient, and compressible in a thickness direction, and extensible, bendable, and resilient in its length and transverse directions, and one or more layers of a plurality of substantially parallel machine direction (MD) yarns in various patterns. The structure can also include one or more layers of a plurality of substantially parallel cross-machine direction (CD) yarns attached on top of or under the MD yarns. The structure has a high degree of both compressibility under an applied normal load and excellent recovery (resiliency or spring back) upon removal of that load.

  • Publication number: 20130219101
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for enabling communication between a SAS communication port of a SAS communication component and multiple storage devices. In a first example, a first SAS to SATA bridge chip and a second SAS to SATA bridge chip may be configured to route data from a SAS communication component to multiple storage devices. In a second example, a SAS to SATA bridge chip and a port multiplier may be configured to route data from a SAS communication component to multiple storage devices. In a third example, a four port SAS to SATA bridge comprising two SAS ports and two SATA ports may be configured to route data from a SAS communication component to multiple storage devices. Supporting two or more storage devices with a single SAS communication port allows storage enclosures to increase storage capacity, while decreasing cost per slot.

  • Patent number: 8448260
Abstract: A clipboard in an electronic system protects sensitive data by copying data into a clipboard of an electronic system as an entry and selectively blocking access to the sensitive data. For example, the clipboard can be arranged to protect clipped data that is based on a received web page or similar communication. An entry protect status is associated with a clipboard entry that is arranged to store copied data that is sensitive. The entry protect status is changed to indicate the entry protect status is set to block access to the copied data. Access to the copied data for which the entry protect status has been changed is selectively blocked.

  • Publication number: 20130086781
Abstract: An industrial fabric such as an endless belt or sleeve for use in the production of nonwovens, and a method of making thereof are disclosed. The industrial fabric is produced by spirally winding strips of polymeric material, such as an industrial strapping or ribbon material, and joining the adjoining sides of the strips of material using ultrasonic welding or laser welding techniques. The fabric may then be perforated using a suitable technique to make it permeable to air and/or water.

  • Patent number: 8413236
Abstract: A clickjacking protector in an electronic system helps prevent unwanted clickjacking. The elements clicked on by the click position are evaluated to determine whether any of the elements clicked on by the click position is obscured (including being transparent or partially transparent). A protective action is generated in response to a determination that an element clicked on by the click position is obscured.

  • Patent number: 8370529
Abstract: A trusted zone protector in exemplary embodiments of an electronic system helps reduce unwanted attempts to use a consumer machine in a trusted zone to address a network resource that lies inside the trusted zone on behalf of a website that lies outside of the trusted zone. An address manager in the electronic system is arranged to provide an indication whether an element retrieved by a network-enabled application executing on the consumer machine is arranged to address a network resource that lies inside the trusted zone. The trusted zone protector is arranged to generate a protective action in response to the indication that the element retrieved by the network-enabled application is arranged to address the network resource that lies inside the trusted zone.

  • Patent number: 8256450
Abstract: A butterfly valve with an undulating sealing surface, which has an inflatable annular seal mounted in a housing. A disk is pivotally mounted in the housing and has an edge with an undulating sealing surface and a peripheral sealing edge. The undulating sealing surface of the disk and a sealing face of the annular seal have non-mating profiles when the valve is in an unsealed condition. Pressure in a chamber proximate the annular seal causes the face of the annular seal to expand and deform and the face forms a high-pressure seal between the sealing ridge and the annular seal. Also includes a method for stopping delivery of a conduit transportable material through a butterfly valve.

  • Publication number: 20120191691
Abstract: A method for determining the value of a given page or pages in aggregate to a search engine based on key-word search results and optionally modifying the outbound results to optimize the value and layout of the page or pages. A listening system is inserted within the network for the purpose of listening to both inbound to and outbound traffic from the web server and optionally modifying outbound responses. The device uses an algorithm to decide the relative value of the page as it is traversed. The system also detects web server errors, scanning depth of the search engine and makes recommendations based on the examined traffic and desired results. Human visitors are distinguished from search engines by looking at the HTTP headers and therefore search engine depth and effectiveness in page scanning can be calculated.

  • Publication number: 20120021171
Abstract: A support member such as a belt or sleeve includes a topographical pattern on its sheet contact side. A plurality of land areas, corresponding depressions, through voids, and/or groove areas are formed on the top surface of the support member to produce the topographical pattern. The land areas, corresponding depressions, through voids, and/or groove areas may be formed by graving, cutting, etching, embossing, mechanical perforation or a combination thereof. The improved belt or sleeve imparts desired physical characteristics, such as bulk, appearance, texture, absorbency, strength, and hand to a nonwoven product produced thereon.

  • Patent number: 7997184
Abstract: Briefly, the invention comprises a vibrator with an on-demand start-up system, that inhibits fouling the atmosphere, with one embodiment of the invention including an integral non-fouling start-up system wherein at least one of the bearing surfaces contains a surface adhered lubricant so as to provide an on-demand static start-up system and in another embodiment the on-demand start-up system is a dynamic system that can unbalance the differential forces on the piston therein to ensure that the vibrator will begin vibrating “on-demand”. Thus, two types of start-up systems are available one an on-demand static start-up system and the other an on-demand dynamic start-up system with either of the systems can be used alone or if desired in combination to provide redundant start-up systems.
