  • Publication number: 20200059882
Abstract: According to the invention a core network management device in a core network section (CN) of the wireless network (WN) receives a request for a tracing regarding a wireless terminal. The request includes an address of a destination device that is to receive trace log data or data enabling the locating of the address. The core network management device then automatically orders, based on the request, network elements of an access network section (AN) of the wireless network (WN) to perform tracing regarding the wireless terminal and ensures that the trace log data is sent to the destination trace log data handling device. The request with the address may be sent from an access network management device in the access network section (AN).

  • Publication number: 20190363924
Abstract: A method, an Element Manager (EM), a Network Manager (NM), an EM node, and a NM node configured to deploy virtualized Managed Elements (vMEs) in a network. The method includes receiving, from an NM, information that includes a set of Virtualized Network Function (VNF) identifications (IDs), each VNF ID of the set of VNF IDs representing an instantiated VNF, each instantiated VNF corresponding to a desired vME, receiving, from the NM, instructions to deploy the network in accordance with the information, creating a set of Managed Object Instances (MOIs) based on the information, receiving notification when a VNF is instantiated and begins execution, the notification including a corresponding VNF ID, and if the corresponding VNF ID matches a VNF ID from the set of VNF IDs, enabling an operational state of an MOI from the set of MOIs corresponding to the matched VNF ID.

  • Patent number: 10469602
Abstract: According to the invention a core network management device (32) in a core network section (CN) of the wireless network (WN) receives a request for a tracing regarding a wireless terminal (16). The request includes an address of a destination device (26) that is to receive trace log data or data enabling the locating of the address. The core network management device (32) then automatically orders, based on the request, network elements (10, 12, 14, 20, 22, 24) of an access network section (AN) of the wireless network (WN) to perform tracing regarding the wireless terminal (16) and ensures that the trace log data is sent to the destination trace log data handling device (26). The request with the address may be sent from an access network management device (26) in the access network section (AN).

  • Patent number: 10225756
Abstract: A technique for reporting events from a mobile device to a cellular network (100) is provided. The mobile device is wirelessly connectable to the cellular network (100). As to a method aspect of the technique, records of the events are stored while the mobile device is out of network coverage. • Publication number: 20190014537
Abstract: An access node (100-A) of a cellular radio network controls switching of a further access node (100-B, 100-C) to an energy saving mode. Further, the access node (100-A) monitors energy consumption of the access node (100-A). Further, the access node (100-A) receives a report from the further access node (100-B, 100-C). The report indicates energy consumption of the further access node (100-B, 100-C). Based on the monitored energy consumption of the access node (100-A) and the indicated energy consumption of the further access node (100-B, 100-C), the access node (100-A) determines energy saving information representing energy saving associated with the switching of the further access node (100-B, 100-C) to the energy saving mode. The access node (100-A) may then send the energy saving information to a management node (150) of the cellular radio network.

  • Publication number: 20180287854
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for correlating event notifications between agents in a management network are provided. An agent constructs a network notification in response to receiving an event notification. If the received event notification is associated with a prior notification already received and stored by the agent, a correlation attribute is added to the constructed network notification. If the received notification matches a peer agent notification category that another agent in the management network is interested in receiving, the constructed network notification is sent to the other agent.

  • Patent number: 10051502
Abstract: Provided are methods for handling reports on lost connections in a terminal device which is capable of being in communication connection with a plurality of network access nodes, wherein the terminal device generates, after having lost connection to a first network access node, a report on the loss of connection. The terminal device stores the report when the terminal device is reconnected to a third network access node comprising one of a different access technology, a different network, and a different network operator than the first network access node to which the terminal device was connected before the loss of connection. The terminal device also sends, upon or after reconnecting with one of the first and a second network access node, sending the report to one of the first and second network access nodes.

  • Patent number: 9848368
Abstract: A method in a first network node for handling traffic tracing of a user equipment. The first network node is comprised in a first Radio Access Technology, RAT, system. The first network node starts a handover procedure to handover the user equipment from the first RAT system to a second RAT system. The user equipment has an active traffic tracing ongoing in the first RAT system. The traffic tracing relates to tracing associated with communication between the user equipment and the first RAT system. The first network node sends a message to a second network node in the second RAT system. The message is sent directly to the second network node or via one or more intermediate network nodes. The message comprises one or more parameters relating to the ongoing traffic tracing of the user equipment. The parameters define when the traffic tracing is to continue in the second RAT system.

  • Patent number: 9326789
Abstract: Catheters and methods for removing material from (or “debulking”) a body lumen while imaging the region comprised of the material are provided. The catheters can be used in body lumens, including but not limited to intravascular lumens such as coronary or peripheral arteries. The catheters include housings or other structures to mount or protect an imaging transducer. Generally, debulking catheters include a proximal portion, a distal portion having an opening, a cutting element which may be exposed through the opening to contact material in a body lumen and an imaging transducer with associated circuitry and display. The catheter debulks a body lumen when it is moved while the cutting element is in contact with the material in the lumen and the region comprised of the material is imaged before, after, or during catheter movement.

  • Patent number: 9277047
Abstract: A method includes: a) assigning, at a MME, after initiation of a user session of an UE, a correlation ID to the user session; b) defining, at the MME, in response to an initiation of a first trace session of the UE during the user session, a first mapping correlation which maps a first trace ID reflecting the first trace session, to the correlation ID, and sending the first mapping correlation to a TCE; and c) defining, at the MME, in response to an initiation of a second trace session of the UE during the user session, a second mapping correlation which maps a second trace ID reflecting the second trace session, to the correlation ID, and sending the second mapping correlation to the TCE. The first and second mapping correlation enable the TCE to assign trace session information to the user session.
