    Abstract: An electronic device may use information about the location of nearby devices to make sharing with those devices more intuitive for a user. The electronic device may include control circuitry, wireless circuitry including first and second antennas, and motion sensor circuitry. The control circuitry may determine the location of a nearby electronic device by calculating the angle of arrival of signals that are transmitted by the nearby electronic device. To obtain a complete, unambiguous angle of arrival solution, the electronic device may be moved into different positions during angle of arrival measurement operations. At each position, the control circuitry may calculate a phase difference associated with the received signals. Motion sensor circuitry may gather motion data as the electronic device is moved into the different positions. The control circuitry may use the received antenna signals and the motion data to determine the complete angle of arrival solution.

    Abstract: In this patent disclosure, various embodiments of using near-field communication (NFC) to facilitate secure data exchange between a robotic surgical system and a surgical tool attached onto the robotic surgical system are disclosed. In one aspect, a process for enabling secure data exchange between a robotic surgical system and a surgical tool begins by detecting a coupling of the surgical tool onto the robotic surgical system. The process next establishes a NFC link between a first NFC module embedded in the robotic surgical system and a second NFC module embedded in the surgical tool. The process then determines whether the surgical tool is authenticated to the robotic surgical system via the NFC link. Next, in response to the authentication of the surgical tool, the process establishes secure data exchange between the robotic surgical system and the surgical tool.

    Abstract: The invention disclosed is a tool for the removal of knock-outs from electrical boxes. The tool may include a handle connected to an elongate member such as a rod, the elongate member having a bend between the handle and a termina end that is bent back or forms a hook. The terminal end may include a flattened end and a slot opened at the end to allow the user to engage the edge of a knock-out. The tool may also include a groove in the radius or bend of the hook, also to allow the user to engage the edge of a knock-out. The tool also includes notches on the elongate member to allow the user to engage the edge of a an electrical box to manipulate or rotate the tool about the engagement to dislodge or displace the knock-out from the electrical box with the tip of the terminal end.
