  • Patent number: 10447698
Abstract: In a computer system implemented method for generating an authorized response to a message in a network, the computer system detects a message sent by an originator via a network. The computer system selects a group of users to contribute to the authorized response to the message based on the computer system analyzing the message. Users selected by the computer system are notified that they are selected to contribute to the authorized response. The computer system receives input data for the authorized response from respective ones of the users of the group and generates the authorized response based on the input data. The computer system sends the authorized response to the originator via the network.

  • Patent number: 10437890
Abstract: An approach is provided for an information handling system that includes a processor and a memory to analyze documents. In the approach, an electronic document is received with the document including content, such as text, and revision metadata that is associated with the content. The revision metadata is analyzed and the approach identifies a confidence level based on the analysis. The confidence level is associated with the electronic document content. The confidence level can then be utilized by a Question and Answer (QA) system.

  • Patent number: 10423719
Abstract: Dynamic data loading of tabular data includes identifying a plurality of formulas within tabular data of a document, wherein the tabular data is arranged in cells. Using a processor, a hierarchy for the tabular data is determined according to cell dependencies defined in the formulas. Each of a plurality of different portions of the document is sent from a first computing system to a second computing system in an order determined from the hierarchy.

  • Patent number: 10417285
Abstract: The present disclosure provides an approach in which a domain corpus subset generator correlates documents from a document corpus to domain discernible attributes associated with domain corpus subsets. The domain corpus subset generator analyzes correlation results from the correlation and stores the documents into domain corpus subsets accordingly. In turn, a question-answer system utilizes documents included in a specific domain corpus subset to provide relevant and accurate answers to an input question.

  • Publication number: 20190268733
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for ensuring that important messages are viewed by the intended recipient. A time-to-live pattern for a message identified as being important is determined for the target group, where the time-to-live pattern indicates a set of presentation criteria (e.g., impression analysis, such as the number of views of the message). The target group refers to the intended recipient(s) of the message identified as being important. The message is then monitored in the network environment with respect to the time-to-live pattern using the set of presentation criteria of the time-to-live pattern. An action (e.g., pinning the message for a period of time) may then be performed to increase the priority of the message for the target group if the time-to-live pattern has underachieved within a threshold period of time (i.e., has not met the requirements of the presentation criteria within the threshold period of time).

  • Patent number: 10397168
Abstract: Confusion reduction in an online social network. A method identifies elements in social media message content, determines, based on the identified elements, a plurality of candidate audiences to which the social media message content is potentially targeted, indicates, to a user, the plurality of candidate audiences and suggested additional elements to apply to the social media message content to tailor the social media message content to a target audience of the plurality of candidate audiences, and modifies the social media message content with one or more additional elements of the suggested additional elements, the modifying adding the one or more additional elements to the social media message content and targeting the social media message content to the target audience.

  • Patent number: 10394423
Abstract: With respect to data items presented in structured, sorted listing having an initial arrangement positioning of the data items relative to each other, aspects select a subset group of the data items having values in a data field selected within one of the items and that share a common value within a different data field. The selected data field is replaced within the selected data item by a roller widget having data values of the selected field of each of the first data item and of the subset of data items. Thus, the roller widget is enabled to scroll through the data values while the unselected data items of the structured list are continually displayed in their initial arrangement positioning relative to each other and to the roller widget in place of the selected data field.

  • Patent number: 10387562
Abstract: A method for maintaining conversational cadence may include determining, by a processor, a conversational cadence associated with a user in a social network. The conversational cadence may be determined based on a plurality of messages previously transmitted by the user. The method may also include detecting, by the processor, a reduction in the conversational cadence of the user. The method may further include providing, by the processor, a set of fill-in messages that create an appearance to another user in the social network that there is no reduction in the conversational cadence.
