  • Publication number: 20140208202
Abstract: A system and method for converting website content is presented. Design elements in a graphical representation of a web page are identified. The design elements are ordered according to a position of each of the design elements with respect to a top of the graphical representation of the web page. One or more of the ordered design elements are grouped into one or more groups of design elements, and the design elements are stacked by rearranging each group of design elements into a single column. The single column of the groups of design elements are rendered into a converted web page for display on a device. In one implementation, the device is a mobile device.

  • Patent number: 8756897
Abstract: A method for forming garage door components, the method including: (a) vacuum forming a combination of a retainer combined with the formation of a decorative insert vacuum formed within the retainer, the decorative insert removed from the retainer to provide a separate retainer and a separate decorative insert, by forming them together, the interior of the vacuum formed piece is used as the decorative insert instead of being thrown away as in prior art vacuum forming processes thereby saving wasting the interior vacuum formed material. There is also a garage door panel including an interior retainer retaining a glass plate on its rear surface, and inserted into an opening in a garage door panel and a window frame inserted into the garage door panel on its opposite side to retain the glass plate by its front surface. A decorative insert is retained between the glass plate and the window frame.

  • Publication number: 20140143318
Abstract: Discussion of content between users of social networks is described. A cloud computing system of a plurality of cloud computing systems is determined for processing a request in a first syntax from a client computer system. The request is translated from the first syntax to a second syntax of the cloud computing system and transmitted to the cloud computing system in the second syntax. The server computer system includes drivers to enable bi-directional translation of communications between the client computer system and the plurality of cloud computing systems, wherein the drivers provide bi-directional translation for at least one of the plurality of cloud computing systems.

  • Patent number: 8405603
Abstract: A computing device that includes a host processor and a service processor is provided. The host processor is configured to interact with a first user interface. For example, the host processor may be a microprocessor for the device and the first user interface may be a display device. A service processor is provided and can interact with a second user interface. In some cases, the service processor may interact with the second user interface without communicating with the host processor. Accordingly, the service processor can perform functions without relying on the host processor. Using the service processor conserves processing power and also may allow the reduction in size of the device as the service processor may perform the functions previously performed by discrete hardware and the host processor.

  • Publication number: 20120197397
Abstract: A structural/biological implant and method of use. The implant being utilized as a single or multiple staged system that is designed to encourage new alveolar bone growth with or without the need to obtain autologous bone. The implant has an apical portion that is fastened into existing bone, with the remainder of the implant left outside of existing bone. The exposed portion of the implant may have an external shape or configuration with a variety of attached and/or integrally formed mechanical retention and stability elements. Osteotropic/angiotropic material may be associated with the implant to induce and or conduct new bone growth and possible vascularization, thus, rather than fitting the implant into the bone, the bone is grown integratively with the implant.

  • Patent number: 8234482
Abstract: A subprocessor is used to interface between subsystems and to reduce the amount of dedicated hardware used to implement the subsystems in a hand-held computer. The subprocessor includes basic processing system resources such as random-access memory (RAM), read-only memory (ROM), a processor, input/output (I/O) facilities, etc. Selected functions in subsystems are achieved by firmware instructions executed by the subprocessor as opposed to a main processor that is also used in the computer. This approach can provide efficiencies such as low power consumption, less required space, less routing overhead, easier transfer of inter-subsystem information, and other advantages.

  • Patent number: 8215369
Abstract: An improved sandwiched garage door panel. The first improvement is that the rear covering skin is made of 25 point embossed wood grain polyboard which is much less expensive than steel so that the cost of manufacture of the panel is significantly reduced. The second improvement is the creation of a channel within the central foam core of the panel with at least one and preferably two steel plates retained within the channel. As a result, a mounting plate of the hinge assembly which interconnects two adjacent panels can be affixed to the steel plate and thereafter the rear covering plate is affixed to the foam core to thereby conceal the mounting plate resulting in a more attractive garage door panel.

  • Patent number: 8212517
Abstract: A battery type detection approach is disclosed. In one embodiment, a method of detecting a battery type can include: receiving a signal from a battery module in a portable computing device; determining if the signal is in a first state for at least a first predetermined time before transitioning to a second state; determining if the signal transitions from the second state to the first state after a second predetermined time, and identifying the battery type in response thereto; and asserting an indication of the battery type when a third predetermined time period after the transition from the second state to the first state has occurred.
