  • Patent number: 9313547
Abstract: Systems and processes that incorporate teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, determining a temporal action initiated by equipment of a user of a plurality of users, while a media program is presented to a display of the equipment of the user. A symbolic overlay is generated comprising an iconic symbol corresponding to the temporal action. The symbolic overlay is provided, and when presented together with the media program at the display, comprises a linear presentation of a timeline corresponding to a temporal progression of the media program and the iconic symbol situated in relation to the linear presentation of the timeline when displayed. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 9200834
Abstract: A continuous drying kiln (CDK) design, in which two sets of carriages carrying spaced stacks of lumber travel in opposite directions through a sequence of chambers in which green lumber is exposed to heated air to dry the lumber to desired conditions. The continuous drying kiln using fans in each chamber to circulate air across the stacked lumber on the two sets of carriages, orthogonal to the direction of carriage travel, in either a first circulation direction or in a second circulation direction. As a carriage moves from chamber to chamber, the circulation direction is reversed.

  • Publication number: 20150289030
Abstract: A method that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, transmitting media content to a group of set top boxes for presentation with an overlay superimposed onto the media content, where the overlay can include a timeline corresponding to the presentation of the media content and receiving a first comment from a first set top box of the group of set top boxes, where the first comment is presentable with the overlay and the media content by the group of set top boxes. Additional steps can include receiving a tag generated at a first set top box during presentation of the media content, presenting the tag while the media content is presented, correlating the tag to a portion of the media content timeline and analyzing metadata associated with the portion of the timeline that is tagged to determine a first marketing parameter. • Patent number: 9109921
Abstract: Various embodiments enable a user to navigate within an application where features of the navigation vary depending on a context of the user or particular features of the application. For example, a user could request directions, in a turn-by-turn mode of the computing device, to a destination. Accordingly, mapping information for a region and a route to the destination through the region can be displayed. Along with the mapping information, a navigation element can be displayed that enables the user to navigate through the mapping information. In one example, the navigation element is displayed off-center from the mapping information such that it does not obscure the mapping information while the user provides touch inputs to navigate within the same.

  • Patent number: 9102264
Abstract: A vehicular lighting adjustment system (10) has a housing (12) with at least two headlamp adjusters (14), each headlamp adjuster (14) comprising a rocker arm (16) pivotally mounted about a pivot axis (X). A common adjuster (30) is mounted to the housing (12) for rotational displacement. Respective elevation tuning adjusters (34) bear on rocker arms (16) and are displaceable along the common adjuster (30) from an initial axial position to an adjusted axial position whereby each rocker arm (16) deflects about its pivot axis (X). The elevation tuning adjusters (34) are selectively fixed to the adjustment rod (30) in the adjusted axial position. After each elevation tuning adjuster (34) is fixed in its adjusted axial position to the common adjuster (30), displacement of the common adjuster (30) simultaneously displaces the headlamp adjusters (14) by pivotal motion of the rocker arms (16) about their respective said pivot axes (X).

  • Publication number: 20150215613
Abstract: A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, controller and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the controller, facilitate performance of operations that include receiving a media content including three-dimensional image content for presentation on a display device. A presence is determined of a viewer within a line-of-sight of the display device, wherein the viewer is without a viewing apparatus that facilitates viewing of the three-dimensional image content. The media content is adapted to include two-dimensional image content, based on the determining of the presence of the viewer within the line-of-sight and without the viewing apparatus. Other embodiments are disclosed.
