  • Publication number: 20150181614
Abstract: Access terminals are adapted to facilitate tune-away operations in situations in which multiple subscriptions are employed. According to one example, an access terminal performing an acquisition procedure for a first subscription may suspend the acquisition procedure to obtain a paging message for a second subscription. The access terminal can tune away from the first subscription to the second subscription and monitor for a mobile-terminated page. After a mobile-terminated page associated with the second subscription is received and processed, the access terminal may resume the acquisition procedure for the first subscription. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also included.

  • Publication number: 20150167054
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods of identification or marking using nucleic acid tags, isolated nucleic acids, marking compositions and the use of nucleic acid tags for identification or marking. Certain embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method of identifying an object marked with a nucleic acid tag, the nucleic acid tag comprising a plurality of selected different nucleic acids. The method comprises amplifying nucleic acids in the nucleic acid tag, wherein the amplification of the plurality of selected different nucleic acids in the nucleic acid tag produces a plurality of amplification products with a different size, detecting the plurality of selected different nucleic acids in the nucleic acid tag by the size of the plurality of amplification products, and identifying the object marked with the nucleic acid tag by the presence of the plurality of selected different nucleic acids in the nucleic tag.

  • Patent number: 9031901
Abstract: Various systems and methods can provide a flexible database schema. One method can store information identifying a first entity in a first table. A unified data model includes several tables, including the first table and a metadata table. Each of the tables stores information describing one or more entities belonging to a respective archetype. The first table already stores information identifying a second entity when the information identifying the first entity is stored. The second entity is already related to another entity when the information identifying the first entity is stored. The first entity is a new type of entity not already stored in the first table when the information identifying the first entity is stored. The method then stores metadata associated with the first entity in a metadata table. The metadata then identifies the new type of entity.

  • Publication number: 20140342052
Abstract: A sweetener particle includes a solid core, a first solid layer on the solid core, and a second solid layer on the first solid layer, the second solid layer defining an outermost surface of the particle. The solid core includes a first edible carbohydrate, the first solid layer includes a non-carbohydrate sweetener and optionally a second edible carbohydrate, and the second solid layer includes a sweet carbohydrate but no non-carbohydrate sweetener. The particles may be made by a) applying to a particulate core material including a first edible carbohydrate a solution of a non-carbohydrate sweetener and optionally a second edible carbohydrate in a solvent, and removing the solvent to form a first solid layer on the core material; and b) applying to the product of a) a solution of a sweet carbohydrate in a solvent and removing the solvent to form a second solid layer on the first solid layer.

  • Publication number: 20140280546
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and system for providing notification of events. Specifically, embodiments disclosed herein describe a method and system for generating dynamic messages based on events and transmitting the dynamic messages to various users over a social networking platform. Embodiments include receiving product data and comparing the product data to a set of predefined trigger parameters. If it is determined that the product data satisfies one or more of the trigger parameters, a dynamic message is generated. In certain embodiments, the content of the dynamic message is based, at least in part, on the product data. The generated dynamic message is then automatically transmitted to a set of recipients over the social networking platform.

  • Patent number: 8645997
Abstract: A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a computing device having a controller to transmit a client program having a GUI to a media device, where the client program presents an overlay that superimposes onto media content received by the media device and enables the media device to associate a user-generated comment with the media content received at the media device. The controller can receive user-generated comments and media content in a temporal vicinity of the user-generated comments via the client program, and can receive a request for the user-generated comments. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20140029288
Abstract: A vehicular lighting adjustment system (10) has a housing (12) with at least two headlamp adjusters (14), each headlamp adjuster (14) comprising a rocker arm (16) pivotally mounted about a pivot axis (X). A common adjuster (30) is mounted to the housing (12) for rotational displacement. Respective elevation tuning adjusters (34) bear on rocker arms (16) and are displaceable along the common adjuster (30) from an initial axial position to an adjusted axial position whereby each rocker arm (16) deflects about its pivot axis (X). The elevation tuning adjusters (34) are selectively fixed to the adjustment rod (30) in the adjusted axial position. After each elevation tuning adjuster (34) is fixed in its adjusted axial position to the common adjuster (30), displacement of the common adjuster (30) simultaneously displaces the headlamp adjusters (14) by pivotal motion of the rocker arms (16) about their respective said pivot axes (X).

  • Publication number: 20130180985
Abstract: A wipes container with side walls including pleats so that the wipes container is collapsible. A collapse force is required to collapse the container body. A cover is sealed to the container body. The seal has a seal thickness and a seal strength. The wipes container has a combination index of 200,000 or less, where the combination index is calculated based on the following equation: combination index=(collapse index) (recovery index) (moisture loss index), where collapse index=((collapse force)/(side wall thickness))(1,000), recovery index=((1?% recovery of original height)/(side wall thickness))(1,000), and moisture loss index=[((% moisture loss of wipes container over 20 day period)/(seal strength))+((% moisture loss of wipes container over 20 day period)/seal thickness))](10).
