  • Patent number: 10466343
Abstract: Techniques are provided for implementing a system that can perform a range estimation of a target object at power levels both below and above an pre-defined power threshold. In embodiments, the system first performs a lower-power measurement, which may be sufficient to estimate the range to the object. If the low-power measurement is unsuccessful, the system then performs a fault check to ensure proper operation of the device. If the fault check is passed, the system may then perform a high-power measurement of the range to the object. Results may be provided to a user by a visual display.

  • Publication number: 20190316700
Abstract: A valve device includes a metal valve body defining a water passageway between an inlet and an outlet of the body. A valve seat of a different material than the valve body is insert-cast molded integral with the valve body. The configuration of the valve seat and the mass of the valve body surrounding the seat being sufficiently large reduces a chilling effect during molding such that a pressure-tight and waterproof interface is formed between adjacent surfaces of the valve body and the valve seat.

  • Publication number: 20190301031
Abstract: Lead is recycled from lead paste of lead acid batteries in a process that employs alkaline desulfurization followed by formation of plumbite that is then electrolytically converted to pure lead. Remaining insoluble lead dioxide is removed from the lead plumbite solution and reduced to produce lead oxide that can be fed back to the recovery system. Sulfate is recovered as sodium sulfate, while the so produced lead oxide can be added to lead paste for recovery.

  • Patent number: 10394778
Abstract: Systems and methods for use in representing a path in a graph of nodes. A computing device determines an acyclical collection of primary edges that collectively reach all nodes within the graph, and also determines one or more secondary edges (e.g., edges other than the primary edges) between nodes of the graph. The computing device further determines a path between a first node of the graph and a second node of the graph. The path includes one or more of the primary edges and one or more of the secondary edges. The computing device represents the path as an abbreviated path including the first node, the second node, and the secondary edges in the path. The abbreviated path excludes one or more of the primary edges in the path.

  • Patent number: 10311160
Abstract: Systems and methods of analyzing search metrics are disclosed. System users are provided with insight into the query or search activity in their system domains. Disclosed systems can enable continuous monitoring of search engine logs for search events (i.e., searches performed by applications using the search engine. Collected data regarding search events is used to derive various metrics such as the total number of queries performed in a relevant period, the total number of queries without results; the top N queries with counts; the top N queries which produced no results, with counts; and the top N documents in results, with counts. In at least one embodiment of the disclosure all such metrics are computed for a last full hour period and all metrics, except in some cases a top-N report, are available for user viewing on an hourly basis.

  • Patent number: 10274548
Abstract: A device in accordance with several embodiments can include a plurality of N Superconducting Quantum Interference Devices (SQUIDs), which can be divided into a plurality of sub-blocks of SQUIDs. The SQUIDs in the sub-blocks can be RF SQUIDs, DC SQUIDs or bi-SQUIDs. The sub-blocks can be arranged in a plurality of X tiers, with each Ti tier having a different number of sub-blocks of SQUIDs than an immediately adjacent Ti tier. Each Ti tier can have the same total bias current; and can have SQUIDs with different critical currents and loop sizes, with the different loop sizes on each tier having a Gaussian distribution of between 0.5 and 1.5 (or a random distribution). Additionally, the Arrays can be configured as three independent planar arrays of SQUIDs. The three planar arrays can be triangular when viewed in top plan, and can be arranged so that they are orthogonal to each other.
